GOULBURN VALLEY - SMALL ANIMAL & EQUINE New Position

Are you a practitioner who wants to develop close personal one on one relationships with your clients and their pets?

If you are looking for a combination of working one on one with great clients who really appreciate what you do and a great lifestyle to boot – then this may just be the perfect position for you!

Mooroopna is located in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, Victoria.  With a population of approximately 62,000 living within the shire, it is a very diverse and vibrant community.
This district presents endless opportunities including great education, plenty of employment for spouses or partners, excellent hospitals, lifestyle as well as a safe and secure community – all at much more affordable prices than big city living!
Located less than 2.5 hours from Melbourne, 90 minutes from the ski fields of Mt Buller, 45 minutes from the mighty Murray River and only 60 minutes from the Rutherglen wine region – this district has a lot to offer you!

At The Causeway Veterinary Clinic, your clients receive a unique, personalised veterinary experience from a small and friendly team that is dedicated to developing a close, one-on-one relationship with each of our clients and their pets.
The clients and patients truly value the relationships they have with us and the care that they receive. And of course, they constantly tell us that they also really appreciate the fact that they are treated as individuals, meaning that they receive a continuity of care that cannot be offered by the bigger practices.

The practice has been an intimate family business for over 15 years and recent growth means that it’s time for another vet. The challenge is to find someone who is the right ‘fit’ for the pets, clients and staff, one who is prepared to go ‘above and beyond’ to ensure that the highest standard of quality care is maintained at all times.

What this means to you as an associate is that you will have a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the health and lives of the patients you treat and their owners – as well as becoming part of a truly rewarding work environment and a highly valued member of the local community, rather than just another vet in another practice!

Your new practice has recently been renovated, creating a clean, fresh and user friendly working environment. There is a recently installed and fully networked computer system as well as modern small and large animal x-ray machines, ultrasound, endoscopy equipment and a fully portable equine crush. Of course you will need our new isoflurane anaesthetic machine, pulse oximter, apalert and dental ultrasonic scaler and polisher.

In order to ensure excellent client service, there is a designated receptionist and nursing staff with over 30 years’ experience in the veterinary industry. The practice owner is committed and progressive, providing an experienced support network for any associate joining the team.

Your new practice is 80% small animal and 20% equine; however the role we are looking to fill would be primarily focussed towards small animal and someone with at least 2 years veterinary experience would be preferred.

The position available is a full time one based on a flexible 38 hour week with every second weekend on call.     As an addition to the standard 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave, you will be entitled to $1000 continuing education allowance per annum.
Salary conditions will be negotiable depending upon experience, however a starting range of around $60,000 is on offer to the suitable candidate plus superannuation and after hours bonuses!

So if you enjoy developing a relationship with your clients and patients and would like to be part of a progressive team where your contribution is greatly appreciated and your services truly valued, then we would love to hear from you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you require further information.
Please forward your C.V. with covering letter to:
