MOOROOPNA - 6 MONTH PART TIME, MATERNITY, COVER

PART TIME “MATERNITY” POSTION

Do you want to be part of a truly rewarding work environment while also having that work life balance?

If you are looking to reduce your work load, re-enter the work force or simply have a tree change – then this may just be the perfect part time position for you!

At The Causeway Veterinary Clinic, our clients receive a unique, personalised veterinary experience from a small and friendly team that is dedicated to developing a close, one-on-one relationship with each of our clients and their pets.

Our clients and patients truly value the relationships they have with us and the care that they receive. They constantly tell us that they really appreciate the fact that they are treated as individuals, and that they receive a continuity of care that cannot be offered by the bigger practices.

The challenge is to find someone who is the right ‘fit’ for the pets, clients and staff, one who is prepared to go ‘above and beyond’ to ensure that the highest standard of quality care is maintained at all times.

What this means to you as an associate is that you will have a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the health and lives of the patients you treat and their owners – as well as becoming part of a truly rewarding work environment and a highly valued member of the local community, rather than just another vet in another practice!

Your new practice has recently been renovated, creating a clean, fresh and user friendly working environment. There is a recently installed and fully networked computer system as well as modern small and large animal x-ray machines, ultrasound, endoscopy equipment and a fully portable equine crush. Of course you will need your new isoflurane anaesthetic machine, pulse oximter, apalert and iM3 dental unit.

In order to ensure excellent client service, we have two fully trained veterinary nurses, one designated to reception and one assisting the Veterinarian on duty. Your nursing staff has over 30 years’ experience in the veterinary industry. The practice owner is committed and progressive, providing an experienced support network for any associate joining the team.

Your new practice is 80% small animal and 20% equine; however the role we are looking to fill would be small animal (with the option to pursue any equine interests if the applicant so desired) and someone with at least 2 years veterinary experience would be preferred.

We are willing to negotiate the working hours of your part time maternity position to suit family and traveling commitments however ideally the successful applicant should be able to work two days a week (including every second or third Saturday morning). The position being advertised is a maternity position of approximately 6 months duration however a permanent part time position may be available long term. Salary conditions are negotiable depending upon experience

So if you enjoy developing a relationship with your clients and patients and would like to be part of a progressive team where your contribution is greatly appreciated and your services truly valued, then we would love to hear from you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you require further information.
Please forward your C.V. with covering letter to:

COLLINGWOOD - CASUAL New Position

2-3 days mid week casual, available from mid June.

Cat Boarding Collingwood

Who are we?
As you may have surmised, we board cats. We also choose to be excellent. Perhaps the first thing to do is liberate yourself from any concept of what you thought a cattery should look like or how it should operate. This is a purpose built state of the art facility, nothing "boutique" here and we discarded the conventional "animal management" approach to boarding cats. We then involved behavioral experts in the construction so the result is a tad more than bunch of containment cages shoved in a spare room at the back of a surgery. That's just the beginning. There is a high emphasis on environment enrichment, calmness and contentment. Very quiet - the sound of a cat's footprints in a thunderstorm…

Who do we need?
A major contributing factor to our success is our care team. No "cattery attendants" here. We are proud of our super savvy, highly trained group which includes two vets. The majority of our care team are vet-med students; all will have double degrees upon graduation. Turnover has been very low; we usually lose one of us when they graduate or decide to start a family. We have a protocol which involves high observation, pro-active care and the ability to deliver a positive result for our fabulous clients. (We don't have bad ones, life is too short). We need someone who will mesh with our crew and have fun time doing it.

Who will you be?
You'll be perhaps couple of years post grad with experience in felines and humans. You may also have an interest in behavioral.

This position might also suit someone who is perhaps a locum, continuing their study part time or for personal reasons have elected not to grind away full time in a practice churning consults every 10 minutes with one eye on a turnover target.

Curious?
