The successful candidate will have a minimum 2-3 years in-clinic experience with Cert IV or equivalent qualifications preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient care with an eye to detail & good communication skills.

BOOROWA VET CLINIC
We are a busy family orientated Clinic, located in the small friendly town of Boorowa which is 1.5 hours from Canberra and 3.5 hours from Sydney. The Clinic currently has 1.5 vets and although we specialize in artificial breeding in sheep, we have a lively small animal practice.
We are looking for someone to assist the Vets and Practice Manager with a broad range of activities in the clinic such as:
- reception duties
- data entry and monthly accounts
- animal care and vet nursing
- stock work on farm visits for pregnancy testing cattle and sheep
- assisting with sheep artificial insemination programs
- cleaning, preparations for laboratory testing etc.
It would be preferable if the applicant has some training as a Vet Nurse or experience in Vet Clinic work and also rural/stock handling experience. The salary will be above Animal Welfare Award Rates and will be negotiable depending on experience.
As the artificial breeding work is seasonal and we have family who are able to assist during university holidays, it is possible that this position may suit someone who is looking for some flexibility during their working year.
