Enfield Veterinary Hospital, Inner West Sydney (posted 22nd March) Receptionist or Vet Nurse
One of THE BEST vet hospitals that you could work at is hiring! Part Time or Full Time (receptionist, surgery only or a mix of both)
Enfield Veterinary Hospital is a busy veterinary clinic in the inner west. We are a well loved and cared for team of 8 vets, 11 nurses and 3 kennel hands (4 vets per day, 7 nurses and 1 kennel hand). We have an incredible work environment where everyone is treated fairly and with respect.
A little bit about what we do:
We do a wide variety of surgeries here with very little referrals. Of course there is the usual; desexing, lumpectomies and dentals but we also do orthopaedic surgeries including TPLO's, splenectomies, regular ultrasounds and digital xrays, dental xrays and we treat and manage an abundance of hospital patients.
We are open Monday to Friday 8am-7:30pm, Saturday 8-4pm and Sunday 8:30am-2pm.
We encourage regular CPD training which is paid for by management.
We also provide lunch daily and celebrate everyone's birthday with a delicious cake.
Our nurses at Enfield are all highly skilled and have a high level of involvement in all aspects of nursing.
A few things that are extremely important to us is burnout in the industry and being aware of this, having support in a clinic (everyone has their off days), getting proper allocated 30 min lunch breaks + extra coffee/tea breaks and that our client and patient care standards are at their highest.
What we would expect from you:
Regardless of if the role you are after is for reception only, surgery only or a mix of both we expect that all staff are enthusiastic, motivated, polite, willing to learn and adapt to new things and to respect their co-workers and members of public.
Our nurses are paid well above award and we would expect all of the above from you.
There may be a time where some weekend work is needed but it is not an essential part of the job. There is likely to be a mix of early and late shifts (generally 8am-4pm or 11am-7:30pm but these can be shuffled around)
