Whilst looking for a permanent vet for our mixed practice, we need a small animal vet for the summer months here in Whitianga, on the east coast of the beautiful Coromandel. A great location for fishing, diving, hiking and relaxing on the beach.

Ideally we are looking for a competent locum with enough small animal experience to be independent. Days of work are flexible but will include a one weekend in three on call roster with days off in lieu. Some large animal experience would be preferred for the rare call out after hours although a senior vet will always be available if help is required.

We invite applications from national and international large animal veterinarians who can step into a Senior Clinical Lead Veterinary role in our mixed-practice.

The primary responsibilities in this role are to our farming clients, with whom you will develop relationships with and provide veterinary services to.

You will be a part of our veterinary team of 4 and support team of 6 in our clinic situated on the west coast of the North Island.

Our clinic is open from Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm and we are closed on weekends. Given your expertise in production animals, you will be on the on-call emergency roster and reimbursed accordingly.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri), with no regular weekend work. You will primarily be working with dairy.
