WAIKATO - MIXED PRACTICE New Positions

Two Veterinarians Required for a Rural Mixed Animal Practice, Waikato, New Zealand.
We require two veterinarians to join our 6.5 vet practice that predominantly services dairy cattle, has a strong equine business and an expanding companion animal sector. A potential partnership could be available for the right person.
The successful applicants will be required to participate in all aspects of our practice including the after hours and weekend roster. We use Rxworks software, and are well equipped. Our clinic has a relaxed environment, and a strong, loyal client base which is continually expanding.
The practice is in Te Aroha, a small rural township in the eastern Waikato district of the North Island of New Zealand. Te Aroha is approx a 45 minutes drive from Hamilton and 1.5 hours from Auckland, with close proximity to many beaches and fishing areas of the Coromandel and Bay of Plenty.
This is a good opportunity to develop clinical skill sets across all species as well as pursuing any special interests.

CHRISTCHURCH - SMALL ANIMAL LOCUM New Position
A locum position is available for a Companion Animal Veterinarian at the Wairakei Rd. Vet. Clinic, Bryndwr, Christchurch.
This would involve 3 weeks from Monday 20th February '12 to Saturday 10th March '12.
This would suit a vet with experience in routine companion animal medicine and surgery.

A position has become available in the above practice for an Equine Veterinarian with a strong interest and passion for equine work.
Marks Ewen Equine Veterinary Hospital is a fully equipped equine referral and first-opinion practice located on 5 acres on the outskirts of Matamata. It is a growing practice with 7 - 8 veterinarians and 7 support staff including qualified nurses and experienced administration staff. It has a large thoroughbred client base, both racing and stud, along with servicing a considerable sporthorse component and a nice mix of hacks, standardbreds and companion horses. Full surgical, ultrasound, digital radiography/radiology and video endoscopy services are offered.
The role offered would involve primary care of all hospital patients, anaesthesia and intensive care along with a good balance of ambulatory work. The position would be well suited to a new or recent graduate.
There will be plenty of opportunities to develop skills in lameness diagnosis, ultrasound scanning, performance and sports medicine, endoscopy, radiology, reproduction and medicine (including neonatal care). Within the practice there is scope to develop skills in individual areas of interest and continuing education is well supported.
