This role would suit candidates with a particular interest in internal medicine and emergency critical care but you may still enjoy surgery and G.P. work. We have an experienced and passionate support staff team including a VTS anaesthesia tech and physiotherapy/rehabilitation team onsite.

Our near new spacious hospital includes 2 large theatres, a dental suite, 20 walk-in kennels, 6 consult rooms and a separate cattery. The established referral surgical caseload is supported by extensive surgical, anaesthesia and supportive care instrumentation and equipment. Access to CT and MRI is readily available offsite.

This is a truly mixed animal branch of our practice with a strong focus in sheep & beef work. Ranfurly also services 8 dairy farms. The balance of case load is small animals with a predominance of farms dogs. For 9 months of the year, After Hours is shared with a neighbouring Ranfurly practice, making a one in six weekend roster.

Who are we?
Taradale Vet Hospital is a busy, well-established companion animal clinic offering seven days a week service to a loyal client base. An exciting position has become available for a full-time Veterinarian.

The position offers a friendly, professional and stimulating environment and you will be working alongside four experienced Veterinarians, nine Vet Nurses and a Team Leader. We pride ourselves in a strong team culture and in providing a caring environment for each other, our clients, and our patients.

The clinic is well-equipped, including Idexx machines and Dental X-ray. Although weekend work is usually one-in-four, after hours on-call is currently shared between three clinics in Napier, resulting in 3 weeks on call / 6 weeks off.

Although some experience is preferred, we welcome applications from recent or new graduate Veterinarians.

SOUTH ISLAND, CHRISTCHURCH OUTSKIRTS - EXPERIENCED LARGE ANIMAL VET New Position

This is a full-time position for a Large Animal Veterinarian based in Leeston on the outskirts of Christchurch City.

Our Leeston clinic is integrated with our Christchurch Clinics located in Darfield and Lincoln. This is a sole charge clinic however the afterhours and support is shared with colleagues in the other clinics. Ourvets Christchurch provides 7 days of service across four locations in Christchurch. We have the South Islands’ only veterinary CT scanner, digital radiography,  dental radiography, ultrasonography, in-house diagnostics and a team of dedicated nurses and vets. We have capabilities in medicine, soft tissue surgery, oncology and cardiorespiratory medicine including echocardiography. Looking for a cattery?
