ALEXANDRA/CROMWELL, CENTRAL OTAGO - FULL TIME MIXED, MAINLY SMALL ANIMAL, ACROSS TWO LOCATIONS

Mixed Animal Veterinarian  - Alexandra/Cromwell

We appreciate that one of the special things in the world is the human animal bond. But of course, you know that – that’s why you’re in this job!

We’re looking for an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinarian who understands the big role that animals play in people’s lives and someone who is focused predominantly on companion animals.

You’ll bring solid experience as a Mixed Animal Veterinarian and be comfortable doing all the things you’d expect, such as consultations, clinical diagnosis, farm service work and surgery. As well as empathy and a focus on animal wellness, you’ll have a real flair for working with our clients and looking after them as well as their animals. While you can expect some on-call work for emergencies, you’ll also find that we’re fair and reasonable about it, and still make sure you have that all-important work-life balance.

Our Alexandra and Cromwell clinics collaborate with the other local VetEnt clinics in the region and you also benefit from the ability to leverage the collegial networks and support structures from across the national company, meaning you have the benefit of a wider team, while focussing on growing your own part of the business.

In return, you’ll find an array of career advancement opportunities including training support, CPD, clinic exchanges and involvement in our subsidiary operations such as FarmCare, VetEnt Research and PureMilk. You’ll have access to the latest technology in a well-equipped practice and a combined pool of knowledge from a network of supportive and collaborative vets all over New Zealand.

That’s because VetEnt is one of New Zealand’s largest veterinary groups, and we’re all united by our passion for animal care.

Based in Alexandra/Cromwell, in the heart of Central Otago, you’ll be able to make the most of your life off the clock, as well. All the scenery and outdoor sports that the South Island is famous for are outside your door – and you’ll be welcomed into a friendly small-town community with a relaxed lifestyle. So it’s definitely a role that will allow you to do your best vet work.

If all this sounds like you, you’re keen to lead a small team, and you meet the conditions of the Veterinary Council of New Zealand, you could well have found your next career move.

Has your time come?

SOUTHLAND REGION, RIVERSDALE - MIXED VET New Graduates welcome New Position

Just the place you have been looking for

Concerns regarding work-life balance, work variety, cost of living, support in the workplace and team culture are common amongst vets looking for a job.

Fortunately, we have the clinic and job that ticks all of these boxes and more!

We are a 10-vet practice working out of two clinics in Northern Southland, the gateway to Fiordland and the Central Lakes. We service a wide variety of species providing a mix of work that, we believe, is one of the best in the country. In any one day we can find ourselves on an iconic sheep station (think Glenaray or Mt Linton), a large deer or Standardbred horse stud, a progressive dairy farm or back in the clinic completing a cruciate surgery on a working dog. We work out of a new purpose-built clinic with all the toys including ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house blood machines and endoscopy. The clinics are spacious, with plenty of room to swing a cat, yet the biggest room is still the smoko room, because supporting a great team culture over a cup of tea, biscuit and/or a beer is something we believe in.

Please click here to see photos! photos

We live in a great community with a variety of clubs and sports teams, cheap housing and an outdoor utopia on our doorstep. We are less than 2 hours from an international airport and have a covered stadium nearby bringing in international acts on a regular basis.

Sound too good to be true? Our most recent new grads that have been here 3.5 and 4.5 years don’t think so…

If this sounds like you, count your lucky stars that due to growth we are looking for a new member to add to our stable team of vets. We look after our team and remuneration packages will reflect this, including health insurance, income protection and a saving scheme that goes above and beyond the normal Kiwisaver.

If you’ve heard enough and want a contract to sign, send us your CV to julia@nsvets.co.nz. If you would like to learn more check out our Facebook page or website, alternatively give us a call on (03) 202 5636.

We’re looking for an experienced Mixed Animal Veterinarian who understands the big role that both large and small animals play in people’s lives and someone who is as focused on both.

As well as empathy and a focus on animal wellness, you’ll have a real flair for working with our clients and looking after them as well as their animals. While you can expect some on-call work for emergencies, you’ll also find that we’re fair and reasonable about it, and still make sure you have that all-important work-life balance. We are currently building a brand-new clinic in Wanaka and equipping this with all the bells and whistles.

We are seeking someone who has a breadth of experience and who aspires to be a Team Leader, you will lead the large animal vet team and interact with the other members of the clinic leadership team. Our Wanaka clinic collaborates with the other local VetEnt clinics in the region and you also benefit from the ability to leverage the collegial networks and support structures from across the national company, meaning you have the benefit of a wider team, while focussing on growing your own part of the business.

Based in Wanaka, in the heart of Central Otago, you’ll be able to make the most of your life off the clock, as well.
