Brendonna Veterinary Surgery can offer you a choice of lifestyles. Brendonna Veterinary Surgery is a mixed practice, offering small animal consultations and surgery, large animal consultations, small and large animal chiropractic procedures, equine ultrasound and dental care. The practice is computerised with Vision VPM and is well equipped with consultation and surgery rooms, x-ray and automatic developer, small animal and equine dental tools and an undercover equine crush area. Currently we are a one vet, 1 receptionist, three vet nurse practice with plans to expand to a two vet practice in the near future.

DARLING DOWNS - DALBY New Position

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team. Knox Veterinary is a mixed animal practice the work load is varied with approximately 65 % small animal and 35 % large animal. Our small animal work ranges from medical workups, every day preventative pet health, general surgery to more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries. The horse work consists of general medicine, field surgery, dental, reproduction, and race track work. The cattle side of the practice spans reproduction (BBSE and PD), disease workup and management and field surgery. We also provide veterinary services to a small number of pig, sheep and goat farms. Our clinic is well equipped to meet the needs of our mixed animal practice and we are continually looking to update and improve our services and equipment.

The working environment has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our support team consists of 2 admin and 2 vet nurses. Our support staff are very experienced, helpful, hardworking, and easy going. We encourage and support professional development as we believe job satisfaction is very important. A position exists for a full time veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our team of 6 vets working out of two purpose built facilities. Site 1 is Anstead Veterinary Practice, a busy and well equipped small animal and equine surgery and medical facility located 15km west of Brisbane CBD (www.ansteadvet.com.au). Site 2 is a new practice located on the Warrego Highway at Marburg 25 minutes west of Anstead which is due for completion in February 2012. This new clinic will include a purpose built small animal facility as well as an equine diagnostic facility and a 65 acre equine breeding centre.

The successful candidate will have experience in small animal practice with excellent medical and soft tissue surgery skills. Experience or an interest and desire to develop skills in equine general practice, general anaesthesia and reproduction is essential. The position will be backed up by a team of experienced equine and small animal veterinarians but will include some periods of sole charge.

We have a position for a full time veterinarian at our small animal clinic at Yeppoon on the coast in central Queensland. The position would suit an experienced veterinarian but new graduates are welcome to apply. The clinic is a three person  100% small animal and reasonably well equipped (In house pathology, good dental machine, ultrasound, endoscopes, X Ray , advanced anaesthetic monitors).

The main requirement is for a personable colleague who will be client and staff friendly. Further education will be encouraged and subsidized. We also have VIN and Keysteps on line to help keep us up to date. We like to work up cases as far as possible and will have a crack at most surgeries.

Yeppoon is a great place to live and play.  The major regional centre of Rockhampton is only 30 minutes away. The region is well serviced for secondary and tertiary education (University of CQ, Rockhampton Grammar, St Brendons, St Ursulars , Rockhampton Girls Grammar plus others).Brisbane is only one hours flight from Rockhampton.
