Duties include patient triage, nursing consults, IV catheter placement and maintaining fluid therapies, venepuncture, taking radiographs, assisting with emergency procedures, patient monitoring, maintaining enteral feeding tubes, chest tubes and urinary catheters, surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring. Nurses also have access to regular free in-house continuing education sessions to develop their existing skillset and knowledge.
