The Wild Vet Animal Hospital, Glebe, NSW (posted 18th January) Full Time Client Relations/Receptionist

the wild vet logo

Full-Time Client Relations Superstar

About Us
The Wild Vet is an exotics and small animal hospital based in Glebe, just across the road from the beautiful Blackwattle Bay foreshore walk. We see an enormous variety of domestic pets, from cats and dogs to rabbits, parrots, pythons, fish, and dragons (bearded and water, not Targaryen). With frequent wildlife care on top of our routine consults and cases, no two days are the same.

The Wild Vet is not your average vet hospital. If you’re looking to be a part of a team that cares for possums, lorikeets, and bin chickens as much as the frequent flyer french bulldog, you’re in the right place! We are environmentally focused, strive to provide gold standards of care for all of our patients, and our team is close knit with an emphatic (but not necessarily high quality) radio sing-along not out of the ordinary. We greet all animals and their people as if they’re members of our extended family, and this is especially important for the front of house role.

With the addition of another full time vet at the end of 2020, our team is rapidly growing, and we’re now after an experienced and customer-focused receptionist to be the face of our hospital and command our front of house. You’ll be joining our gaggle of four vets, six nurses, plenty of staff animals, and one practice manager.

About The Role
You will be joining our team as a permanent full-time receptionist / front of house and client relations superstar! The position involves a 40 hour week spread over Monday to Friday, including paid lunch breaks. This reception role will be focused around building and maintaining amazing relationships with our devoted clients and their pets, whilst helping keep the hospital organised and running smoothly.
This means:

About You
You are a total legend!
With at least a couple of years working at a vet under your belt, and maybe a bit of vet nursing experience boosting that resume of yours, you’re looking for a clinic that prioritises the care of every animal that walks/slithers/bounds through the door. You want to find a team that has a wicked sense of humour, gets along with one another, and still delivers awesome patient care. You’ve worked with EzyVet before (or are eager to learn the ropes!), and your computer skillz, sorry, skills, are second to none. You have a bright and optimistic personality and a smile on your face even when the day gets a bit hectic. You prioritise excellent customer service, and work efficiently in a team as well as by yourself.

This amazing role is ready to fill immediately, but we are happy to be patient for the perfect candidate. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

If this sounds like your dream role, send your CV and a cover letter to our practice manager, Liz Garling, at If you’d like some more info or to have a confidential chat about the role, pick up the phone and dial 1300 945 383.

Head Veterinary Nurse – Full Time

Latest review from Google:
“The team at Station Street Vets are very professional, caring, and helpful. What I appreciated the most was the plan put in place to better the health and welfare of my dog.”

As a clinic we believe that animal lives matter:
Five years ago, myself and my husband purchased Station Street Veterinary Clinic and have made it our goal first and foremost to provide a workplace that is fun, supportive and inspires people to be the best version of themselves that they can. From this we have built the most amazing foundation from which to provide the best animal advocacy, married up with a fantastic customer experience. The success of this is reflected in our high average transaction value and a net promotor score of 90 percent! We are always seeking to expand on what we do and encourage all forms of development, be it improving processes, technological innovation, or professional advancement.

We all started in the veterinary industry with a common goal to be the best patient advocate that we can.  Some say it is to be the voice of the animal, but it is more than that.  As veterinary professionals we need to not only ensure that any immediate health issues are resolved but that the animals within our community are given every chance to maintain that health for as long as possible by looking beyond the immediate and planning for the future. The pets and animals that we treat on a daily basis provide a significant role in the health, enjoyment, and financial income for their human counterparts and we have to listen to and understand what they are telling us as well as the animal.

Position Highlights:

We would welcome you to come and visit us and would love the opportunity to show you around.  To arrange a visit or if you would like to discuss the position further then call us on 03 5997 2222. For more information on who we are check out our website or StationStreetVets on Facebook.
