Old Mill Animal Hospital, Moreton Bay Region (posted 2nd August) Practice Manager

Old Mill

The Old Mill Animal Hospital is a one-stop, full-service pet health facility, built in and around Dayboro's historic old sawmill building. Transformed into a small animal clinic in 2005, and an elite mixed animal hospital over subsequent years, the 'Old Mill' is a true symbol of old meeting new.

The state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and luxurious animal accommodation is in contrast to the vintage charm of the rustic building and the familiar warmth of the animal care team. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with that country kindness. We are committed to providing our clients with the highest level of professional and compassionate veterinary service.

We are currently seeking an experienced Full-time Practice Manager with a minimum of 2 years Vet Nurse experience. The successful applicant will be required to work an average of 38 hours per week which may include some Saturday work from time to time.

The right candidate will have a commitment and passion for high level patient and client care and the desire to provide exemplary customer service. The perfect candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team whilst demonstrating strong communication skills, essential to lead and support our established team.

What we are looking for:

Our clinics are part of National Veterinary Care (NVC), a group of over 100 clinics located across Australia and New Zealand. What makes us different?

National Veterinary Care believes that if we put our people first, the results will follow. We empower our Lead Vets and Practice Managers to run their clinics the way they see fit, providing admin support where needed. We don't re-brand our clinics. We empower our Graduates to achieve their goals through mentoring, internships and hands on workshops. We empower our Nurses to support their teams through upskilling and team consulting. Our scale allows us to ensure our clinics are well equipped and maintained, but we still want each individual clinic to have their own personality in their communities. Our Wellness Program allows you to teach your clients about preventative healthcare and build lasting relationships.

Cowra Veterinary Centre, Central Western NSW (posted 24th July) Part Time Experienced Receptionist / Vet Nurse

Cowra Vet Centre

Receptionist/Veterinary Nurse

About the Position:

The small friendly team at Cowra Veterinary Centre is looking for an experienced receptionist/veterinary nurse to join us in a permanent part-time role (3 days per week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday).  The role is primarily veterinary reception with some flexibility to include regular nursing shifts.  There is a possibility of Saturday morning reception and/or after-hours on-call veterinary nursing work as well.

Unfortunately, this position would not suit a veterinary nursing student looking for work placement hours as we are looking for someone with experience in veterinary reception and/or veterinary nursing.

We know that reception is the hardest job in a veterinary clinic – it is crucial to make the right first impression on our clients.  What happens in reception flows on to everyone else in the clinic so it is vitally important for our staff and our business to find the right person for our reception position.

About You:

Do you match the description below?  If so, we want to hear from you!

About Us:

Cowra Veterinary Centre is a 2.5-vet rural mixed practice located in the central west of NSW.  We moved into our new purpose built clinic two years ago so everything is clean and new and works really well.  We have a small, happy and harmonious team (3 vets, 2 full time nurses and 2 part time nurses) and are committed to great service for our clients and high standards of care for our patients.  We believe in the importance of a good work-life balance (work to live, not live to work) and encourage positive mental health practices.  Continuing education is strongly encouraged for all staff.

Our caseload is approximately 3/4 small animal and 1/4 large animal (beef cattle, horses, sheep, dairy cattle).  We are open 5.5 days per week and offer a 24 hour emergency service.  We run a branch practice in a nearby town two afternoons per week.

For more information on our practice, please see www.cowravet.com.au or
