BURLEIGH HEADS, GOLD COAST - SMALL ANIMAL

My name is Cath, I am the owner of Pet Wellness Centre and we’re looking for another vet to join our awesome Team. I built Pet Wellness Centre because I wanted to create the Centre that I wished existed for my pet, where patient comfort and customer service were truly at the heart of the experience.

You see, I believe that pets make better people and better people make better communities. So, I believe that we can improve the wellness of people, and our whole community, by improving the wellness of pets. I believe that the impact that we have on a daily basis here at Pet Wellness Centre is far greater than just that of the individual pet or pet owner. It spreads well beyond our perception.

Now, five years into this journey, I have seen the challenges within the profession, and I know that it is as vitally important to look after veterinary Teams as it is to care for the pets. I’m working to create an environment where not only do we deliver the best care and the best customer service, but our vets and vet nurses feel fulfilled, supported, and able to love what they do. I’m still working on it, every day. I manage the business and the customer service, and I cede authority on all clinical matters to my incredible, compassionate Senior Vet and her unwavering integrity. We don’t compromise care here, for any reason.

Our Mission is Pet Wellness, Human Wellness, Community Wellness, and we strive to live by this every day. If you’d like to come and join us, please get in touch.

One of our recently hired veterinarians called us her "unicorn practice", the practice she didn't think existed that would allow her to enjoy being a veterinarian. That is what we are about.

We do not pretend to be perfect, but we do believe we have a culture that is focused on creating a space that evolves with our team. We know things have changed and will continue to keep changing.

Please click here to see photos! photos

If you are looking for a workplace that will allow you to practice good medicine and surgery with a supportive team, give us a call. You can look at our Google reviews and our web page to dig deeper but talking to us is preferable.

We currently are open to applicants that are seeking a position that is full time or part time. We are flexible and will listen to your needs. We currently do not work weekend hours and we do not have emergency on call.

If you have specific questions about the type of equipment, we have and the type of surgery and medicine we provide please call and ask us.

You can take some comfort in the awareness that the Greenway Drive Veterinary Hospital has achieved ASAV Hospital of Excellence Accreditation.

Our Kingscliff office did not pursue this qualification; however, the equipment and protocols are duplicated. It is likely that you will work at both offices but even that is negotiable.

We know how difficult it is to find veterinarians to fill positions and that you have many choices, give us a call and see if this could be the next best decision you make for your professional and personal life.

Please either phone Matthew Casey at the Kingscliff Vet office 026674-1916 or email matt@greenwaydrvet.com.au. Our website is www.kingscliffvet.com.au or www.greenwaydrvet.com.au

GOODNA, BRISBANE WEST - SMALL ANIMAL New Graduates welcome

FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME VETERINARIAN REQUIRED
NEW AND RECENT GRADUATES ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

SMALL ANIMAL
GOODNA, BRISBANE WEST, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

What does every vet want to do?

After graduating, it seemed all so clear to me. It had been the end of a long journey, one with many sacrifices to firstly get into vet school and then graduate. Finally, I was done, and I could get to work doing what I had started it all for. My first job was an exciting, fast-paced practice with a varied caseload that quickly taught me that there was still so much to learn about myself, my clients, and the animals I was in care of. Luckily, I had the support I needed, and even in the rare cases of something going wrong, I always knew everyone on the team had my back. When I reflected on what we had achieved as a team and all the lives we had changed for the better, both animal and human, I would remember why it was that I was here to begin with, why I had told every adult who had asked me as a child what I was going to do when I grew up. I want to help, and in doing so, that gives my life meaning, and it gives my life purpose.

So, this is why I decided to step into leadership. I wanted to take what I had learned, elevate it and provide that support, care and development for others. From the start, as a team, we have challenged the status quo. We are brave enough to do what we say we do.
Being the owner of Goodna Vet Surgery, I am lucky enough to help the clients and animals that we see and form bonds with, as well as be part of a team of wonderful individuals just like me when I first started. We are the change we want to see as animal health care professionals.

Every day I change lives and make an impact. That is my why.

Dr David Watkins - Owner and Principal Veterinarian Goodna Veterinary Surgery

What we believe in that makes a difference

We're looking for a passionate professional Veterinarian who has an innate interest in small animals and genuinely cares about helping our clients and their patients. A career at Goodna Vet is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients, patients and community.

Our purpose, helping animals live longer, healthier, happier lives and making the vet industry a better place, is what inspires us. It's a promise to our clients and our people to change lives, and our industry, for the better. Our people are at the heart of this. It's their passion, ideas and commitment that will shape a brighter future for both Goodna Vet, our industry and our clients and their pets.

Your new role:

Our Veterinary team actively provide high-quality medicine to our existing and new patients by having value-based conversations with our clients and ensuring they are offered solutions that meet their pet's health and wellbeing needs. With a deep knowledge of our services and your professional and friendly approach, you will be partnering with clients to achieve resolute medical outcomes. You will be working part-time or full-time, Monday – Saturday on a rotational roster.

Please click here to see photos! photos

Our commitment to your development:

Supporting and nurturing your growth is a central premise of Goodna Veterinary Surgery. You wont just be thrown in the deep end and expected to swim. During the first few weeks, you will complete a comprehensive induction program led by our highly experienced Clinical Director to set you up for success in your role.

It is important to us you feel that your career is developing and progressing. We deliver a multitude of development opportunities including e-learning, collaborative case discussion and presentations. However, your learning and development doesn't stop there; we understand that everyone has special interests and provide paid opportunities for further education at surgical wet labs and conferences held throughout the year. We give frequent coaching from both our Clinical Director and Practice Manager and want to help you realise your potential and will be there every step of the way!

About you:

You have a passion for helping people and their pets and are naturally empathetic. With your unique desire to help our clients, you will ensure they feel informed and that their pets are in the best hands. In addition:

Benefits:

We care about you and, in turn, offer some outstanding benefits, which include:

About Goodna Vet:

Goodna Vet is a value-driven organisation and strives to be the change we want to see in the veterinary industry. This culture is made possible by our people, and we value each and every one of them. As a result, we've evolved from simply being a low-cost veterinary clinic to a high-quality health and care company. This evolution involves constantly challenging the norms and providing more wide-ranging services to benefit animals' health and wellbeing wherever they are in life.

So, if you've got the desire, the energy and the aptness, come and join us. If you've got the belief, the drive and the talent, come be part of somewhere different.

If this resonates with you and you would to know more about our team position that is vacant, please head to www.goodnavet.com.au/careers or email Dr David Watkins via leadership@goodnavet.com.au

WARWICK, SOUTH DARLING DOWNS - MIXED New Graduates welcome

Mixed Practice Veterinarian Positions Available – Warwick, QLD

Warwick Town and Country Vets is a well-established privately owned clinic, currently seeking to employ 2 mixed practice veterinarians.  The position is very flexible and can either be full/part-time or casual.  Experienced veterinarians, and or new or recent graduates will be considered for the positions with continued support and mentoring provided.

We are a small but dedicated team of 2 vets and 4 nurses, and we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and practicing a high quality of veterinary medicine and surgery to our friendly and loyal clientele.  You will be working in a friendly and relaxed environment with an experienced team of supportive staff.  The clinic has a mix of approximately 80% small animals and 20% large animals (horses, cattle, sheep and goats).

Our veterinary hospital is equipped with modern technology including a digital x-ray machine, an ultrasound, a dental x-ray machine and im3 dental unit.  We run Vision software which integrates with our in house IDEXX laboratory which consists of a lasercyte, catalyst one, coag analyser, vetlab urinalysis and microscopes.  We have multiple fluid pumps for hospital and surgery patients.  We have 2 anaesthetic machines and monitoring equipment.  We have a power float for equine dentals.

Our clinic hours are 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturday and 9am to 12pm Sunday, and we provide an afterhours emergency service at all other times.  Since extending our opening hours it has greatly reduced our afterhours work, but in saying that, it is still required as the nearest emergency centres are over an hour away. We do take some of the stress out of being the vet on call by having a great team of very experienced nurses who are on call with you, but most importantly they take and answer the afterhours phone which means that you will only get a call from the afterhours nurse if they need further advice or in an event of a true emergency. A work car is provided for on call use.

We have always been supportive of a great work-life balance and think that this is essential for a rewarding career in this profession; therefore, our rosters and hours are very flexible.  You may like to work 2 days a week or 5 days a week or even just 1 week a month.  Salary will be upwards of $120000pa + super depending on experience and the number of hours you choose to work (based on 40-hour week).  An additional bonus will be paid after the initial 3 months once you decide that this is the job for you.  You will be given 1 weeks paid study leave and $5000 to spend on continuing education in addition to 4 weeks holiday leave each year.

We have members of our team who are skilled at ultrasound and surgery - and are always at the ready to assist. We work together on cases where required.  We also have visiting specialists available to come to us for those complex cases. Support is always available.

Samford feels like a small country town, but is really on the outskirts of Brisbane - only 25km from the city.  We are halfway between the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. We are home to some of the very best restaurants and coffee houses in Australia.  So many families have their own little piece of paradise on a couple of acres with a cat, a couple of dogs, a horse, and perhaps an alpaca or two.

We of course provide annual leave, personal leave, superannuation and all the usual perks.

CARRARA, GOLD COAST - SMALL ANIMAL MEDICINE SENIOR CLINICAL COORDINATOR

Senior Clinical Coordinator

Are you an internal medicine specialist who enjoys clinical practice but loves teaching even more?

Do you have high level clinical skills and knowledge that you would like to pass on to the next generation of medicine residents?

Do you like the challenge of a busy environment with complex cases but maybe would like to a take a supervisor role rather than being at the coalface?

The Opportunity

Training residents and supporting them on their journey to specialisation has always been a core part of our business. Providing the right type of training and having the time to train residents in clinical practice is extremely challenging. Managing your own workload and creating a learning environment isn’t easy. This has led us to believe the best way to do this is to create the position of a Senior Clinical Coordinator whose sole job is to supervise medicine resident’s clinical work and academic study. This is not a clinical position and face to face with clients is not expected.

About Us

Veterinary Specialist Services is an established Small Animal referral practice in South East Queensland.  This role would be based at our Carrara practice on the beautiful Gold Coast.  We are striving to create an environment where people can do their best work.  We have many things to work on to get there, but we are adapting as fast as possible.  Our teams are very passionate about delivering patient care and support each other to do it.  We have a very diverse skill set and can offer just about all specialties, diagnostic modalities and therapies across our practice group.  We have residency training programs for vets, in house training programs for nurses and over the years, about 20% of our interns have gone on to become registered Specialists.  We are involved in the industry with wide participation in professional groups, universities, continuing education courses and we have our own conference.
