Parkinson Veterinary Surgery in the Southern Brisbane suburbs is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our close-knit dedicated team.

We are a small, independent, well-established, modern clinic consisting of two full time vets, one part time vet and four qualified nurses, from a diverse range of backgrounds. We are expanding our team and are seeking a part time vet to join us. Working hours are flexible but most Saturdays 9-1 are needed. No afterhours required as we refer to our local emergency services.

Our clinic was purpose built in 2007 and we have gained an excellent dedicated clientele from that time. Many of our clients have pet insurance and the means and desire for excellent quality of care for their beloved pets. We have all the toys to ensure great service including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, in-house lab, vision software, and electrosurgical cautery.

Our nurses and support staff are all very experienced, mature, and qualified. They are able to perform many of the basic procedures such as catheter placement and venipuncture leaving you more time for vet stuff!

We are seeking a vet that is dedicated to excellent patient care, is friendly, and has good communication skills. At least 2-3 years experience preferred but would consider an exceptional new grad. Our staff is what makes us thrive and we are looking for someone who fits in well with our team.

We practice from a brand new 900sqm stand-alone facility. With a team of 25 experienced vets and qualified nurses we see a wide variety of cases. We are well equipped to handle the majority of these in house with referral centres nearby if required. We have 3 surgical theatres along with dental, radiology, ultrasonography and videoscopy suites jam packed with all the equipment needed for a modern facility. Reproduction services are also offered including TCI.

The full-time hours are worked over four days per week, with three days off per week.
We currently have two full-time vets and one part-time vet. We are a very collegiate group with an amazing nursing and administrative team as well. Everyone works with a great deal of autonomy, and we tend to discuss our cases together in a very friendly and open environment.

We have a modern inner-city practice with digital radiography, inhouse laboratory and IM3 dental equipment. Our clients are wonderful and tend to do what is best for their pets. We are very lucky in this respect. We also have a great relationship with the specialist centres and our clients are generally very good at taking up referral when we advise it.
