KINGSTON, LACEPEDE BAY - FULL TIME MIXED, SMALL ANIMAL ONLY VETS WELCOME New Graduates welcome

Vet required for a mixed veterinary practice at Kingston in the south east of South Australia. A new graduate would also be considered. Position will preferably commence December / January. There would probably be sufficient small animal work if the applicant had little experience with large animals.

Kingston is located on the coast and is approximately 3 hours drive from Adelaide. It has a population of just under 2,000 and is a cray fishing port, but also serving a farming community – mostly beef cattle and sheep. There is a wine region south of Kingston on the way to Robe, another popular summer coastal resort.

Kingston Veterinary Clinic is currently a 3 vet practice with approximately 50% large animals (mostly beef cattle with a small amount of horse and sheep work) and 50% small animals (mostly farm dogs and domestic pets). Most of the beef cattle work entails pregnancy testing (scanner machine is available) and calving problems and related issues, so some experience with this would be an asset.

Clinic hours are 8.30am. to 5.30pm. Monday to Friday. Weekend work is essentially for urgent cases – no routine work unless mutually arranged. After hours work would be shared out. Accommodation can be arranged.

Please contact Michael Warner by email on mrebwarner@bigpond.com or by phone (Office 08 8767 2516) or Mobile 0407 390 673.
