Reporting to the Senior Veterinarian & Livestock Manager, this position is for a permanent full-time veterinarian to join our team, where we manage the health and welfare of the Company’s sheep flocks and working dogs. This role is open to recent graduates and experienced veterinarians alike, salary commensurate with experience. Previous experience with animal production systems, quality management systems or quality assurance will be highly regarded.

This exciting role will give you the opportunity to:

A degree or an equivalent qualification in Veterinary Science is a prerequisite, accompanied by a demonstrated interest in sheep production, sheep health management and pathophysiology.  All applicants must be eligible for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia.

This is a permanent full-time with minimal sole charge, limited after hours – day duties only, weekends are 1:3 rota, with 5 weeks annual leave.  This role is supported by a generous remuneration package, salary range of $80,000 to $90,000per annum.  A relocation package and a short-term accommodation package will be provided.

This role is complemented by a remarkable work location – the beautiful Clare Valley in South Australia (1.5hrs from Adelaide). You will be working 15 minutes from a large regional centre, surrounded by the wineries and restaurants the region is known for. This opportunity provides you with a unique chance to gain experience with the health management of livestock in a commercial setting and an understanding of quality management systems, while contributing to the supply chain of lifesaving pharmaceutical products.

The position is a full time position based on a 4 day working week roster.  On call is shared in a 1 in 5 roster and 1 week night per week.  Support is provided by senior vets for the on-call vet when required.

Salary is above award and we pay initial costs of registration, AVA and EPA licence.  We offer 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave after each year of service.

Mount Gambier is a large regional city and is well equipped with social, recreational, medical and educational facilities.  It is also only 20 minutes to the beach and 40 minutes to the Coonawarra wine region.

Full or part time small animal position in friendly well equipped 2-3 vet clinic in beach side Largs North.

We need a replacement small animal vet for Richard, who is leaving after seven years here.

The practice is independent and 100% small animal. We would like someone to come and share our love of general practice medicine and surgery. We open 7 days except public holidays (Saturday and Sunday to midday). The weekends are shared on rotation with compensating day off the following week. All afterhours is referred, ie no on call.

You would have the support of a friendly, experienced nursing team with long service records and a very loyal clientele.

There is a good set of equipment to support your work. In house Vetscan pathology suite including coagulation profile, digital radiography with latest software, anaesthetic monitors include EtCO2 and ECG, ceiling mounted operating lights, high speed dental kit, electrosurgical unit, MyLab Delta ultrasound, endoscope, Petmap BP, microscopes, infusion pumps, tonopen etc.
