PARA HILLS, NORTHERN ADELAIDE - FULL OR PART TIME SMALL ANIMAL

Full Time, Small Animal Vet required South Australia.

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced vet to join our seven-vet team. We are looking for someone full time, or close to full time. The applicant must have great people skills, can work well with the team, and communicate well with clients. We want someone wanting to practice high quality medicine and surgery within a small animal practice. If you don't like surgery, then that's okay too as we would be happy to have someone in a purely medical role. We have four part time vets and two full time vets currently. We can offer flexible working hours, Saturdays 1 in 2 (or 2 in 3 depending on negotiation) and, every second weekend a long weekend. All our after hours are referred to an emergency centre. We have an amazing team of vets and nurses who can provide a very supportive environment if needed. We have lots of mod cons such as ultrasound, digital xray, dental xrays, inhouse bloods, and we have great back up referral services for CT/MRI/Scoping. We are just in the middle of adding a large office/staff room.

We like to support our staff and encourage them to follow their interests outside of work as well as at work. We encourage continuing education. We have several vets interested in wildlife and rabbits so see a reasonable amount of wildlife and rabbits (enough to keep life interesting!). We try and match clients to vets and love to work with the strengths that each vet has so have specific vets that see rabbits, birds, koalas, etc, or that do specific surgeries such as MMPTTAs or other orthopaedics, or ultrasounds. We don't expect every vet to be able to do every facet of vet work and really encourage each vet to find the things that they enjoy doing and excel at and we will try and book more of those in specifically for that vet. (and yes, we all share the routine general stuff!).

As a clinic we are held in high esteem and like being a part of the community. We are often involved in things like caring for bushfire victims, and helping out where we can.

For a computer walk through- https://www.google.com/maps

Our website needs to be updated (we have improved since then) but feel free to have a look at that too!- http://parahillsvet.com.au/

We try and look after all of our staff to provide the best quality of life that we can!. If you are looking at moving from interstate then we can try and help with that too.

Remuneration will depend on skills and experience but will be above award.

If you think that this job might be right for you then please either PM me, call my mobile on 0417 818 878 or email trudyseidel@yahoo.com for more information or with your resume. If you are semi interested and would just like a meet and greet and have a walk through before submitting a formal application then we would be happy to do that too (and of course this would remain completely confidential).

MEADOWS, ADELAIDE HILLS - FULL OR PART TIME MIXED PRACTICE

Is there anyone out there that can help us with our quest??

We are on the hunt for a very rare creature, an experienced Magicali veterinarii (more commonly known as a "Mixed Practice Veterinarian").

These creatures are very rare as they have the extraordinary ability of coping with and enjoying a very diverse & varied mixed case load. In our practice that would be 60% small animals, 30% equine work with a bent for reproduction & dentistry & 10% farm animals such as sheep, goats, alpacas etc. Ideally this creature would really like to use or develop skills in the area of equine reproduction & dentistry.

Please click here to see photos! photos

When we find one of these endangered species, they will have an awesome team of well-trained nurses that would look after & support them as well as a very supportive boss. We have lots of toys that they can play with & are always open to buy more toys if required. We also value having fun & love doing training with any special interests always encouraged & supported.

We already have 3 of these extraordinary creatures and are searching for a fourth so that we can have a great work/life balance (think 4 day week and shared 1:4 after-hours). Some of us love travelling so we are always open to longer holidays to enable those overseas memory making trips.

In order to secure our latest addition, we offer a great work environment and above award pay (for both wages and after hours). Ideally, we would like to find one of these creatures to welcome into our caring environment by the beginning of October. Due to our case load this position is not suitable for a new graduate - we are really searching for a creature with experience looking to settle down. We would gladly consider a creature requiring either a full time or a part time role.

So, if you are one of these endangered species (or happen to know of one) looking to settle down in a great environment only 45 minutes out of Adelaide in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, contact us!
