LONDON (ref 2067)

EXPERIENCED SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARY SURGEON
WITH A PARTICULAR INTEREST IN ANIMAL WELFARE WORK

The Celia Hammond Animal Trust has a vacancy in its East London Clinic for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon, with a particular interest in welfare work, to join our team of six vets. The clinic is a very busy but rewarding place to work with many challenging medical and surgical cases daily as well as routine neutering of cats and dogs. A high standard of veterinary care is always our objective and the Trust's clinics are well-equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, haematology and biochemistry machines, endoscopes, etc. We take many orthopaedic referrals but experience in orthopaedics is not essential. A keen interest in medicine, however, would be an advantage.

The Trust provides a full veterinary service for animals belonging to people unable to afford private veterinary fees but who don't qualify for assistance from the major charities. Although we strive to offer an "at cost" service, no animal is turned away because of its owners inability to pay for treatment.

A competitive salary is offered according to experience and pleasant accommodation is available if needed. The Trust will give consideration to candidates looking for a six to twelve month placement.
