Coach House Vets Ltd is a 50% equine and 50% small animal practice set in a beautiful rural location on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. We are a tight knit, highly engaged team of five vets, three nurses and a receptionist dedicated to having fun providing an exceptionally high-quality service treating our clients as valued friends and their animals as if they were our own. We are a very supportive team and take great care of each other. We work 8.30am until 6pm Monday to Friday with no weekend surgeries.

Our vets work a four-and-a-half-day week finishing at 1pm on one of the weekdays. We are dedicated to providing our clients with our own out of hours service on a 1 in 4 rota. Our vets get 25 days holiday a year, VDS, RCVS and BSAVA or BEVA paid for, BUPA Healthcare, Pension and salary according to experience.

Our main surgery has operating and hospitalisation facilities for both small animals and horses and we are fully equipped with an IDEXX practice lab and digital diagnostic equipment. We run 15 minute consultations by appointment only and pride ourselves in taking time over our cases and with our clients. Our clientele are predominantly insured and we do the work for the local Dogs Trust kennels so there is a considerable amount of routine surgery.

We are looking for EITHER:

A dedicated small animal vet with some post-graduation experience who is interested in providing a high quality, first opinion service as part of a lovely team. This candidate would join our dedicated small animal vet, Phill Robinson, in providing the small animal service and would not be expected to see horses our of hours.

A mixed small animal and equine vet to do predominantly small animal work but back up the equine team. As some sole consulting is involved in the role it might not suit a new graduate unless they are particularly confident.

If you are interested please email Chris Tufnell on with your CV.

The Carisbrooke Vets

Small animal and mixed animal veterinary surgeon required

We are a 12-vet mixed veterinary clinic (small animal, exotic, large animal - excluding horses) situated on the beautiful Isle of Wight.  We are looking for two vets to join the team that are enthusiastic, work well in a forward thinking and hard-working team and are likely to enjoy living in one of the most beautiful places in the UK!

Our large animal work is largely beef and sheep, with some small holdings of pigs, alpacas and llamas, with the occasional dairy thrown into the mix. We are active in the BVD Stamp it out scheme and National Johnes management plan.

Out of hours will be expected but fully supported. We have recently moved over to a four day 'working week' as we feel the work life balance for all our assistants is really important.

Accommodation and vehicle can be supplied alongside generous package

CPD encouraged and supported (two of our vets are currently undergoing RCVS certificates) and six weeks annual leave.
