IRELAND - PRACTICE FOR SALE OR LEASE

Young growing small animal practice in the beautiful south west of Ireland on the Dingle peninsula, famous for its dolphin, surfing, scenery and hospitality, for sale or lease.

Fully equipped, x ray, ultrasound, dental machines, microscope, clean theatre, fully computerised and designed from scratch only 5 years ago. Located on main road on edge of largest town in the area. Highly visible, best parking in the town, loyal client base, very strong retail sales and great profit margins (GP 60% in year to 31/12/2012). We also carry out a small amount of equine work and there is plenty of scope for expansion into large animal if required. Currently 1.5 vet due to other industry commitments but would easily expand to 2 vet as we are simply unable to commit any more time to it and are turning down work.

Perfect practice for someone or couple wanting to come back to Ireland or for some surfing or windsurfing Australian looking for cooler climates.

CAMBRIDGESHIRE

Voluntary Trustee Veterinary Surgeon

The veterinary trustee will be a specialist advisor to the Board on veterinary and animal welfare issues, particularly at a strategic level.  Ideally, the veterinary trustee will provide advice on, or interpretation of, Defra rules and regulations as well as advice on RCVS matters.  The successful candidate will also become a member of the AWAG, a trustee-led group that advises trustees and management on animal welfare/veterinary policy, building projects and other high level issues related to animal welfare and veterinary care.

We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon, with particular expertise in companion animals, preferably with both a practical and academic background. The role will also entail representing Wood Green at various policy making and discursive forums where it is important for the organisation to represent the views, needs and concerns of its beneficiaries. In addition to this the veterinary trustee will make professional contributions on behalf of Wood Green to discussions concerning cutting edge animal welfare issues including the dangers of zoonotic diseases and the implications of European animal welfare legislation on the UK. This is a great opportunity for the incumbent to be the architect of, and contribute to, new ideas and innovations in the field of animal welfare and veterinary provision as well as to make a direct impact in the consultation phase of new legislation.

Please forward a CV and covering letter to dennis.baker@woodgreen.org.uk
For more information please phone 0088 248 248 8181 ext 1206.
