Midshire Veterinary Group, Nuneaton, Warwickshire (posted 14th March)
We are devastated here at Midshire Veterinary Group Ltd (as was PAWS Veterinary Health Centre), Nuneaton, Warwickshire. True Love & the wilds of Scotland will shortly be taking our much-loved Head Nurse away. We expect to lose her at the end of May.
She has been qualified for 9 years with many other skills / qualifications attained along the way. She is still very much a practicing RVN as well as a natural Team Leader both medically/surgically and an extremely strong advocate for Pet Health Counselling / VN Clinics (we have a close relationship with Royal Canin). We have a total of 9 RVN's and 2 Trainee VN's and 1 ANA. All of our nursing staff work a 4 day week (39 hours) with a rolling long weekend in rota to give everyone quality time off; this she manages on an annual basis, with local changes according to needs. We have a very manageable On-Call Rota, sharing with other local Veterinary Practices. There is minimal reception work as we have a separate Reception Team lead by our Reception & Administration Manager who works very closely with our Head Nurse.
Finally we are a 50:50 Mixed Practice and are very active members of XLVets, with all staff getting involved in all of the activities, CPD, training and "jollies" that this membership provides - with our core objectives being care for our Clients and the best possible treatment. We are also RCVS Accredited.
If you believe you would be a suitable replacement to get involved in all of this wonderful stuff with leadership and managerial qualities, please contact:

The Mewes Veterinary Clinic, West Sussex (posted 11th December) Veterinary Receptionist
I have a vacancy for an afternoon Veterinary Receptionist to cover for a period of a sickness absence for 3-6 months, possibly longer. Our ideal candidate would work part-time 5 days a week 1.45pm to 7.30pm (6.30 on Fridays) and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. If we can only find a full time candidate then it would be 11am to 7.30pm.
This position may be suitable for a person already experienced as a Veterinary Receptionist, an RVN or an experienced non qualified nurse, although it will not include any nursing role or training.
Our Receptionist has a very bad back problem and is unlikely to return to work for the foreseeable future, so we need someone to replace her temporarily as soon as possible, and definitely by early January.
I would be very interested to hear from any suitable interested candidates.
