Crown Vets is a busy First Opinion and referral practice with two sites situated in the stunning Scottish Highlands. We are a modern, fast paced and progressive practice that sees a range of cases where all nursing skills can be applied. Our referral service sees daily orthopaedic procedures. We currently have visiting specialists in Dermatology and Pain Management. Our first opinion side offers surgery, dentistry, radiography, full daily nurse consults and busy cat and dog wards treating a range of medical and surgical cases.

We have 12 Vets, 10 RVNS, 1 nursing assistant and 2 SVN’s. We are a full training practice and deliver a high standard of SVN training with Clinical Coaching opportunities available.

Full time position with one weeknight and 1:10 weekends on call, excellent CPD allowance, company pension scheme, no reception duties and plenty of opportunities and support to develop your career in areas of special interest.

The successful candidate should possess high standards of patient and clinical care, excellent communication skills, be forward thinking and be able to work alone to a high clinical standard when required but more importantly work well as part of a busy team.

The role available involves medical/surgical nursing with a possibility for nurse consultations. Ideal candidate will be a UK RVN, but we will consider other qualified veterinary nurses if they have the intention of sitting their OSCEs to become registered.

The position has an attractive salary, doing 40 hours a week Monday – Friday and one Saturday shift (8.30am-1pm) once a month. Immediate start available, will consider locum RVN until we find a suitable full time
