New Era Veterinary Hospital, Jersey (posted 13th August)

Exciting opportunity for 2 full time qualified Veterinary nurses to join a team of 12 qualified nursing staff in the idyllic Island of Jersey. The hospital was built 10 years ago and is a state of art premise which caters for the animals of Jersey.

The job would entail a 38 hour week, covering small animal work. There is the occasional opportunity to get out with the large animal vets and help with some equine work. Occasional night and weekend shifts in rotation with the other nurses as we are a tier 3 RCVS recognized hospital.

We are proactive in encouraging our nursing staff to further their skills in all areas of small animal medicine and surgery. Schedule 3 procedures are routine for any nurses interested. The hospital regularly carry out Orthopaedic procedures such as fracture repairs, TPLO, Arthroscopy, and Hip replacements, as well as soft tissue surgery including colposuspensions, thoracotomies and wound reconstructions.

The Island offers close access to France, although the many beaches, cliff paths and sea activities make it hard to leave.
