The nursing team are constantly challenged and engaged at Medina due to the encouragement of autonomy in the nursing team, whilst ensuring that they are still supported as much as required. The veterinary team have ultimate trust in the nurse's capabilities which results in the nurses having the opportunity to consistently work at the top end of their capabilities. This results in the nurse's role at Medina being predominantly focussed on the more challenging and thus rewarding side of the job. These include nurse clinics/triage and even stitch ups and mass removals.

We are an inspected and approved training centre (VNTC) for Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN).

In return we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified veterinary nurse to join our friendly team!

This position is for 40 hours based on Monday – Friday between 8.30am and 6pm. OOH are shared with sister practice covering 1 in 13 nights. The ideal person will be a great team player, have good customer service skills and a passion for animal welfare.

Equine Reproduction Foaling Vacancies

Foaling Persons for one of the UK’s leading Artificial Insemination, Embryo Transfer, OPU/ICSI Centre

Foaling positions at one of the UK’s leading sport horse stud farms carrying out AI, embryo transfer and foalings.  In 2019 had 95 foalings.

We are looking for two hardworking and motivational persons to manage the foaling centre.  Candidates must have previous foaling experience, be organised, tidy and work well under pressure.

It is essential to be calm and confident around foals and able to cope with any situation that arises.

You will be required to carry out all yard duties supporting the Stud Manager and her team. The foaling unit has twelve boxes with CCTV, foaling alert system and the support of the stud’s on site resident vets.

The ideal candidate will already be experienced in stud work as well as foaling. The position would be available to a couple who can share the role. Training and support will be given.

The position is full time or seasonal from February/March until August/September and comes with single shared/sole use for a couple accommodation adjacent to the foaling unit. Sorry no horse/pets.
