Have you lost your Why?

Maybe you have been working for a few years or even new to the profession and are not so clear as to why you get out of bed to work each day.

Let us help you find your why.

We are a privately-owned Veterinary Hospital with two locations, West Gosford and Erina, within a large pet store named Petstock.

This has allowed us to have record growth and have the ability to have an impact beyond the scope of a regular Veterinary Hospital.

An example of this has been our senior Vet going on adventures in outback Australia participating in a dog desexing program. Which was an incredibly rewarding experience!

We could boast about the level of equipment and our extremely supportive team but we know this is not the principle driver in your choice of a job. We are shocked at the ongoing loss of people from our profession and are actively engaged in trying to reduce this in our workplace.

Please click here to see photos! photos

Having just completed three years of leadership training with the Lincoln Institute we have been putting these teachings in place to help support you fully both professionally and personally.

Our job has come about through growth and expansion of our hospitals not through anyone leaving which highlights how serious we are in retaining staff.

We are looking for someone that has a heart for wanting to get to the bottom of problems using all the modern diagnostic tools. We can help you not be distracted by just wanting to give the least cost option to clients in the hope of pleasing them.

We know this can be a major cause of losing your zest and enjoyment of our amazing profession.

The job is ideally full time but would also suit a return to work mum or similar, we are more than happy to discuss different options.

If you want to know more or would like to find out about applying for this role, please email the Clinic owner and Senior Veterinarian Graeme on, or the Practice Manager of our Gosford branch Emily on

Bomaderry Veterinary Hospital has a vacancy for a full time veterinarian. We are a 7-man practice, with definite partnership prospects for the right candidate as one of the partners is retiring in 6mths time.

Bomaderry is located on the sunny South Coast of NSW, on the northern side of the Shoalhaven River, about 2 hours south of Sydney, 20 minutes from pristine Jervis Bay and the surf beaches of Culburra and Shoalhaven Heads. Sounds idyllic doesn't it!

Our practice is currently a Mixed practice seeing approximately 70% small animals and 30% large animals.  We also have a branch clinic at a seaside village that is Small Animals only.  The Shoalhaven area is undergoing rapid growth and the practice is also growing to meet these demands.

We see and treat a truly mixed variety of animals, and no two days are the same. The practice has a long and trusted history of providing services to the local dairy industry, including one of the largest dairies in the state. We also service the largest Alpaca farm in the state. We provide services to a local Zoo and the local Native Animal groups.

We have all of the diagnostic equipment you could want - Fuji D.R. X-ray, full in-house IDEXX and suite, Video Endoscopy, GE Logic P5 small animal ultra-sound, and a Reproscan ultrasound for cattle and horse pregnancy testing, and iM3 Dental equipment.

We are able to provide most medical and surgical services. We offer referral and have good relationships with Sydney Specialists, but find that in many cases our clients want us to do the work. This means that we get to practice high level medicine, including for example Chemotherapy.

The same is true of surgical cases where we are able to perform most Orthopaedic procedures utilizing MMP cruciate repair kit, full SOP plating kits, Ridgestop Patella repair kit etc.

Above award wages are paid for a 38 hour working week.

Continuing Education is strongly encouraged, as it improves morale and enhances the service and services we can provide.

Afterhours is shared equally during the week, and weekends are shared with a neighbouring practice.

Nursing staff are all Cert IV graduates and are long term employees.

We need someone with an interest in true mixed practice work, preferably with some experience.

We are looking for someone with a genuine desire for a long term commitment, and a willingness to take on some practice responsibilities.

Want a stimulating, challenging and rewarding vet job with a lifestyle that will make you the envy of your friends?
Been working for 2 or 3 years and looking for a step up?

Please come and join our team.

Hamilton is an inner city suburb of Newcastle, which is the best kept secret on the east coast if not the whole country. Recently voted the most liveable city in Australia, Newcastle is blessed with fantastic surf beaches, a beautiful harbour and lake and a city centre that is transforming into a lively, trendy and fun place to be. It is easy to live in a 5 minute radius to everywhere: work, friends, the beach, groovy cafes - the list goes on. And no traffic congestion! You can't get this in Sydney yet Sydney is only a relaxing 2 hour drive away.

You will work with our awesome team comprising 5 vets and 15 nurse technicians, nurses and receptionists. The case load is high which ensures a great diversity in medical and surgical patients giving you ample opportunity to perform complex diagnostics and surgery. We are blessed with excellent clients who are committed to the care of their pets and invariably say YES to your diagnostic and treatment recommendations. You will constantly get praised from our clients for your empathy, your skill and your high commitment to achieving the best outcome for their pet.

The hospital has recently been renovated which is testament to Hamilton Vet Clinic's commitment to providing the highest quality facility for our clients and staff. You will be encouraged to use all of our toys such as digital x-ray, Mylab gold ultrasound, video endoscopy, complete suite of Idexx blood machines, dental x-ray and much more.

If you are a veterinarian with at least 18 months experience who is motivated to quickly progress your career by expanding your skill base then this is the job for you. The roster works on a 4 day week and only 1 weekend in 4 (with an extra day off that week) and no after hours. Continuing education is mandatory and you will be given a generous allowance for this.

Plenty of time off to indulge in your passion whether that be exercise (check out the paths around the harbour and beaches), part of a sporting team (Newcastle is renowned for its sporting culture), bushwalking (we have bush trails in and around our city), music or the arts (Newcastle has a vibrant music and art scene), good food (authentic cafes through to hatted restaurants) or just relaxing.

If you can only work part time we are still happy to talk to you as we are keen to get the right people on our team.

Veterinary Position Available Armidale NSW

About Us

We’d like to let you in on a well-kept secret. Mixed practice and living in the country gives you a far more interesting workday and makes it so much easier to balance work and play. Your commute is easy, with no tail-light meditation needed (just the occasional cow), and you’ll have time to play sport, enjoy cultural activities, sample the local cuisine and wineries, explore some spectacular country and build life-long connections in the community.

We are a thriving 4 vet mixed practice whose vets have a combined 80yr + experience between us. We all have our own interests but combine well to cover the varied and sometimes unpredictable caseload that makes up our day. Most things can be solved between us, but we are also willing and able to refer or liaise with specialist clinics when needed.

Approximately 70% of the caseload is small animal (inc pocket pets, birds and wildlife), the remainder beef cattle, pleasure and competition horses, sheep, goats, alpacas and the very occasional camel.

This clinic is very adaptable and encourages special interests, so there is always scope for expanding an area if you have the passion.

We also want you to develop healthy connections in the community so can prioritise your sporting, social and cultural commitments.

About Armidale

Armidale is Australia’s highest city.  We like to say that because it makes us seem important, but really, it’s because we have a cathedral.  Located on the Northern Tablelands of NSW, it is a University town (UNE) and is blessed with great educational choices for your kids, should you have them. The New England Conservatorium of Music and New England Regional Art Museum both punch above their weight for the arts. The local National Parks have jaw dropping views of the gorge country and you can enjoy the spectacular drive along Waterfall Way to the coast, for some seriously good beaches.

Housing is affordable and if it’s land you need for all the animals you own, you’ll have plenty of options for acreage, large and small. There are daily flights to both Sydney and Brisbane.

We are looking for a vet with a good sense of humour, who would enjoy being part of a stable and experienced team, practicing and developing great standards of care and customer service. We need someone who wants to be part of a progressive mixed practice, striving to improve and develop ourselves and the lives of our clients, through their work.

Wauchope Vets are looking for a great Vet to join our team of 3 Vets. We are ready for you to start by September 2019. The workload is 85% small animals with about 15% large animal work and with plenty of scope to pursue areas of interest. The small animal workload is very broad. Several of our previous employees have gone onto further studies and we are very proud that none have left the profession!

We have recently renovated and refurbished our practice (completed by end of January 2017) to improve our facilities, work flow and provide a better clinical and work environment for us all.

We are looking for a motivated Vet to complement our team. New graduates are welcome to apply and will be well supported and mentored by our team. Are you considering buying a practice in a regional city but worried about taking the leap?

What if you could work in a practice for a few months while you decide if the practice and the town will suit you, and then after 3 months, commit to buy the practice at any time that suits you in the next 2 years? In the meantime you would take over the management, establish a relationship with the staff and the clientele, and mould the practice to your liking, all the while enjoying a secure income. Any initial decrease in practice income resulting from a change of management would not affect you.

I am ready to sell my practice. My unique circumstances allow me to offer the above arrangement. However I am ready to sell immediately.

The position would require someone with at least 2 years’ experience, interested in practice management. Salary $120,000.00 includes compulsory superannuation and after hours.
