Animal Eye Care a referral Veterinary Specialist clinic is seeking an experienced full time Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This role will provide opportunities for specialist nursing, training, further education, and travel. You will work with a highly motivated team and clients. You will be provided with a training program and a mentor. Animal Eye Care is committed to developing a dynamic and supportive work environment. Animal Eye Care actively supports continuing education. Recently some of our nurses have lectured to other Veterinary Nurses.
This role would be ideal for someone who is experienced with a mature attitude, able to supervise and coach more junior nurses. You will enjoy helping our motivated clients to care for their animals, assist our Veterinarians in consults, anaesthesia, and also assist in the teaching of Veterinary students. Our nurses have traveled interstate and overseas to assist our veterinarians with our surgery and clinics. We have high tech equipment such as phacofragmentors for cataract surgery, ocular ultrasonography, and the state of the art anaesthetic monitoring equipment such as Sp02, C02, NIBP, and oesophageal ECG.
Animal Eye Care is Australias largest specialist eye clinic. We have 3 specialists and one resident that are ably supported by our 7 member nursing team. We see referral cases from Veterinarians throughout Victoria, and have also seen cases referred from places such as New Zealand & Darwin. We see mostly dogs and cats, but also regularly see horses, exotics and zoo animals.
For above standard veterinary nurses we will pay well above award wages.
