Vet 2 Pet, Lara (posted 19th January) Full or Part Time Vet Nurse
Hello fellow nurses,
We are looking for an experienced easy going nurse, who doesn’t take themselves too seriously to join our amazing team here at Vet2Pet. Sense of humour is a must!
We are happy to take interest in both Full Time and Part Time employment. Our Full Time nurses work a 4-day week (38 hours) with a consistent scheduled RDO every week. We are not open public holidays, weekends and work minimal overtime. Yes, that’s right! an actual work life balance. We even have a regular cleaner letting us focus on actual nursing and not scrubbing floors.
We are a small animal practice consisting, at the moment, of 4 nurses and 2 Veterinarians. We work hard but understand and value the importance of an excellent work environment. We make sure every day to take the time to have a laugh, crack a joke and if needed have a good vent about a particular case. No mean or grouchy veterinarians here. If they occasionally do grump, don’t worry our senior nurses pull them straight into line because let’s be honest, Nurses basically run the show.
We see mainly small animals including reptiles but don’t be surprised to see the odd kangaroo, koala, eagle or other unusual creatures as Dr. Laura has a keen interest in our beautiful native wildlife and quirky critters. For instance, our clinic pet is Gucci the “freshwater crocodile” in reception. Don’t stress though, you are not meant to know the vital signs on a koala or kangaroo… all that training will be provided.
We have a newly purpose built Veterinary clinic on acreage with large outdoor dog runs and aviaries. Our clinic has all the latest gadgets, bells and whistles including digital and dental x-ray, in house blood diagnostics, Rx Works, ect. all training will be provided on any equipment that you may not be used too.
We are a little bit different here as we have a mobile aspect to the clinic meaning a veterinarian and Nurse will be available for mobile consultations at home. It gets you out of the clinical environment of a hospital and you get to go cruising around the local suburbs in our specially fitted out Vet 2 Pet ex ambulance. We also know all the best coffee spots/bites to eat in town and “clean” public toilets to use on your travels. If that doesn’t sound like you, that’s ok, we love it and are happy to fight over your day on the road between ourselves.
If this sounds like you and tickles your fancy, email resumes to laura.a.schram@gmail.com
