Pet Universe Veterinary Centre has now expanded into the field of canine rehabilitation and regenerative medicine. Dr Chris Lee, Principal Veterinarian & Owner is now a qualified Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (studied at University of Tennessee, USA & internship at Veterinary Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in Maryland, USA). With an increasingly complex surgical & rehabilitation caseload as well as our unique feline only entrance, reception, consult room & ward, we provide a very stimulating work environment. Both our practices hold Gold Cat Friendly Accreditation through the International Feline Medicine Society.
Pet Universe is looking for an experienced locum with:
- A minimum of two year’s fulltime nursing experience
- A Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing or accepted overseas equivalent qualification
- A passion for surgical nursing & getting the day to run smoothly in theatre
- Availability to work flexible hours during the week & weekends

The team at Peninsula Veterinary Surgery need an experienced, Qualified Veterinary Nurse to cover some shifts for annual leave.

SHIFTS NEEDING COVER:
8am - 6pm
4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 27th of January.
There is a possibility of ongoing work for an exceptional nurse to join us.
The following skills and attributes are required:
- Certificate IV or higher qualification
- At least 2 years of qualified full-time experience in a veterinary clinic
- Computer Literate (confident working with Ezyvet and Idexx Vetconnect but not essential)
- Clinical Skills (taking blood, placing catheters etc)
- Confident in anaesthetic monitoring and equipment
- Exceptional customer service skills

Veterinary Happiness are looking to welcome a Vet Nurse to join a friendly, close-knit team!
Located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Redland Bay - and seeing a steadily increasing clientele due to a recent local property development boom - Veterinary Happiness are a close-knit, boutique clinic made up of two very experienced veterinarians and three full time vet nurses.
Our small companion animal clinic shares a vision to provide the highest standard of care both professionally and personally to the pets in our care, in a warm and welcoming environment. We have a strong customer experience focus and great team culture. Our facilities also boast some fantastic tech/equipment including Idexx Catalyst One and Procyte One, digital xray, dental xray, ultrasound and tonometer, as well as being an accredited feline friendly clinic with a strong focus on stress free techniques for all our patients.
Current operating hours are 8am - 6pm Monday through Friday, 7pm late night on Thursday nights. There is no after hours and no weekends!
We are looking for a part-time nurse for an initial 12-month maternity contract with the potential to go permanent. Flexible hours are available.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection
- Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service at all times, treating every patient as if they were your own
- Maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness across the practice at all times
What we are looking for:
- Certificate III or IV in Veterinary Nursing and a minimum of 1 years of clinical nursing experience
- A keen desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and customer service at all times
- A calm friendly nature, able to react quickly in stressful situations
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine love for animals and their people!
