ST HELENS, COASTAL NORTH EAST TASMANIA - MIXED New Graduates welcome

Where are you now, in your career? The township of St Helens, Tasmania may have everything you need for this next step of increased autonomy and the ability to make a real difference to the lives of animals and their owners in Eastern Tasmania. The East Coast Veterinary Clinic, that has supported Eastern Tasmanian Clients for 36 years, and is now looking to move to its next phase. You may be looking at running a clinic as an employee, moving to owning a practice with a very solid base or just working in the only Veterinary Clinic on the entire East Coast of Tasmania, we can help you construct your dream. The Clinic comes with solid clientele, a practice manager who currently owns the practice and building and staff who have driven this clinic to be the successful 1.6 vet clinic that it is today. The future is only limited by your imagination.

The clinic currently is a Monday to Friday, 9-5 clinic with Saturdays being optional. Currently two veterinarians are working Monday to Friday, 9-5. The approach to after hours can be as flexible as you like.

The East Coast Veterinary Clinic is based in St Helens; a two hour drive from Launceston and is the largest town on Tasmania’s east coast; the East Coast Veterinary Clinic first opened its doors in 1987 and is now looking to take on a new leading veterinarian who can see themselves living the life on the coast, with civilised hours, considerate clients, and guaranteed mentorship and veterinary guidance if need be. In St Helens there is sun, surf, open space and the most beautiful beaches and coves that you will ever explore. As well as playing in the Eastern waters, there is mountain bike riding, walks and heaps of stunning scenery.

Please click here to see photos! photos

As a clinic situated over one and a half hours drive from the nearest, other veterinary clinic, it strives to carry out a much of its own diagnostic activity in house, and as such, has most of equipment needed to do just that. Such as EzyVet Practice Management Software; IDEXX in-house CBC, Chem and Urinalysis; wireless DR Digital Radiography; Small Animal Ultrasound; IM3 Dental Unit; Tonopen; Pulse Oximetry; Blood Pressure Monitoring; Ap-Alert’s as well as IV Fluid Pumps and fluid warmers. This clinic works with predominantly companion animals and wildlife with an interesting and varied case load that would see any veterinarian developing and using a wide array of skills and knowledge.

Any full-time wage will be above award and there will be a generous relocation allowance if required. The light load of afterhours case load is also varied, with clients willing to travel to either Launceston or Hobart if need be.

If you have a dream to be a more influential and appreciated veterinarian, with autonomy, and who would appreciate the ongoing service of an experienced practice manager, then you couldn’t work and live in a more stunning place than St Helens, with a clientele and work pace to make veterinary service fun. Your future is only limited by your imagination.

Please feel free to call Dr Andrew Byrne on 0499 921 906 or email him on sennittsvet@bigpond.com.

Come on over and visit, we will be happy to show you around.

TAROONA/SANDY BAY, SOUTHERN HOBART - SMALL ANIMAL New Graduates welcome New Position

Hi to all my vet colleagues in Hobart and afar!

It is now April 2024 - for all those veterinarians out there - full time, part time and/or casual - It is time to make a decision - either stay where you are or make a change for better working conditions, better pay and a supportive boss/management. It really is not rocket science - all it takes is a phone call to chat!

For those seeking to balance family and career – we are a family business with young children ourselves – and know the value of supporting our Dog Clinic family members.

We often see the conversations on the vet network about vets not being happy and not knowing what to do? Give us a call – or pop in for a wander round to see what the Dog Clinic experience is that our patients love.

Do you like working with good clients that are encouraged to have pet insurance?
Do you like a clinic that encourages 20 (standard), 30 and 40 min appointments?
Do you like offering the best for your patient/client but still feel you can offer 2nd/3rd options and not feel bad?
What about finishing at a reasonable hour to be with your family and friends or go for that run/cycle/bushwalk or glass of wine?
Does your boss support/understand when you or more likely your kids are sick or that your family just needs you ASAP?
How about having a clinic that actively encourages breaks and lunches?
Do you like to spend time on cases and your boss factors in/allows you that extra time to email clients and catchup on cases?

Have the help and support with a team that has over 50-60 years combined experience!

Those complicated surgeries - don't stress as we have easy access to an amazing in-house referral surgeon – an amazing training, knowledge/experience and education opportunity too.

Does your boss pay you $65+/hour or more depending on experience and hours worked – noting we are open to negotiate!

We are a small animal family owned veterinary clinic of 14+ staff and 2 locations (Taroona and Sandy Bay) with all the base/standard equipment and tools (full idexx suite, vetscan AI, Vcheck, AB titre/faecal testing, dental suite/xray, ultrasound etc) but always ready to improve and develop.

Don't wait until it is too late - life is too short - we are an inclusive clinic that works to our values of compassion, respect and excellence for our people and our pets.

Call now - 03 6227 9586 - and chat to Raj (Managing Partner and Senior Veterinarian) or our head nurse Bel.

Cheers
Raj and the team
