Our Business: We are privately owned for the past 30+ years. Our approximate case load is Dogs 65%, Cats 25%, Exotic Mammals (Ferrets, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Rats and Mice) 10%. We have separate hospitals. Downstairs we have a large waiting room, 3 consulting suites and Dog & Ferret hospital. Upstairs, Recovery / Preparation room, Main Surgery (2 tables), Dental Surgery, X-Ray, Ultrasound room, Staff areas, Cat hospital, Rat, Mice and Guinea Pig hospital and Staff room.

Our staff: We have 17 permanent staff, all with significant experience, and we operate with 4 Veterinarians each weekday, 2 on Saturdays and 2 on Sundays. During the week we schedule numerous dentals and surgery every day.

The position: The practice owner has a special interest in exotics, making this the perfect opportunity for someone with an interest in gaining experience in this area, as training can be provided. However, exotics interest or experience is not essential.

The applicant: We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to assist throughout our hospital. We have a full time receptionist, but all nurses rotate throughout the hospital. Applicants who are interested in assisting in surgery and dentals are especially welcome to apply. (Unregistered Veterinarians are also welcome to apply).

Clinic hours are 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday; 8:30 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays and 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sundays.

The clientele go above and beyond for their pets. The clinic prides themselves on providing an ethical and high standard of care.

The practice is in a great location, with convenient parking, and only a short walk to the (Surrey Hills) train station. The CBD is only a short drive away.

Veterinary Nurse - Full Time or Part Time

We are looking for a certified veterinary nurse to join our team. Unfortunately we have filled our places for trainee nurses at this time and require certificate 4 or equivalent for this position.

The clinic is a well-equipped purpose built 13 vet and 20 nurses and support staff hospital.

We are a privately owned clinic and we aim to provide the best veterinary care possible for our great clients in a supportive and fun team environment. This role is a permanent position with full-time or part-time hours available.
