TUMUT, SNOWY VALLEYS - MIXED, NEWLY RENOVATED PRACTICE New Graduates welcome

Our renovations are complete and we are looking for some new faces to join our Veterinary Team.

Tumut Veterinary Clinic is a mixed (small & large animal) practice in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains in southern NSW. This area has natural beauty abounding and plenty of recreational possibilities on land, water and snow.

Ours is a busy, happy 4 vet practice and we have a vacancy for a full time Veterinarian.

We work out of a newly extended and refurbished small animal hospital with 3 consult rooms, 2 surgical theatres, plenty of room and friendly capable lay staff.

In the yard behind are two custom built undercover horse crushes. The design is a shameless replica of those at CSU.

Most of our large animal work is ambulatory. We serve mainly beef herds and pleasure horses including campdrafters and cutting quarterhorses. This includes reproductive ultrasound in horses and cattle preg testing.

Inside the hospital we have digital radiography, ultrasound, IM3 dental equipment and a range of orthopaedic surgical gear.

Please click here to see photos! photos

Working hours are 8.30 – 5.30 daily, with 3 out of 4 weeks a 4 day week. The principal takes the lion’s share of out of hours duty.

Happiness and harmony in the workplace are very important to us. If you think about achieving this, it encompasses a decent salary, professional respect, further education, appropriate time off and a collegiate approach to cases. Good coffee and chocolate biscuits may also have a role.

We feel every vet has their own skill set and interests. We respect that and foster your development.

We have the ability to provide accommodation for the first few months of your role, while you settle in and get used to the area

For enquiries please call 02 6947 3122 or email tumutvetclinic@westnet.com.au

ORANGE, CENTRAL TABLELANDS - SMALL ANIMAL New Graduates welcome

POSITION VACANT - 100 % SMALL ANIMAL FT or PPT

Summer Street Vet Clinic is seeking a fourth veterinarian to work in our fully equipped and rapidly growing 100% small animal practice in Orange, NSW.

Our practice was established in Jan 2007 but has recently undergone extensive renovations and is well equipped with all the usual toys such as Idexx in house lab, Digital X ray, Ultrasound, IM3 dental gear, orthopaedics, Vitavue Multiparameter moniter etc. We are a busy clinic with an interesting and varied case load and lovely, devoted clients. We aim to provide a happy, safe and fun work environment with an emphasis on high standards of care and a great work/life balance. We have a great team of competent and friendly nurses and vets and whether your passion is medicine or surgery or both, we can accommodate you. As a way of giving back to the community, we also support the local animal rescue groups (AWL and the Rabbit Sanctuary).

Our vets currently work a 67-hour fortnight with either Monday or Friday off which means a 3-day weekend. After hours work is minimal and our roster is flexible, so if you have other commitments (like kids!) and are interested but would like fewer hours, we can work around school hours etc.

Remuneration is well above the award and can be negotiated according to experience (FT $75,000.00 - $135,000.00). We also offer all the usual allowances, continuing education etc. For suitable applicants wanting to make a permanent move to Orange, a relocation allowance is available and future partnership opportunities will be considered. For overseas applicants contemplating moving to Australia, we would also consider sponsorship / assistance with relocation, provision of a car and accommodation. For anyone with a HECS debt, we would also be happy to make an additional quarterly contribution towards helping you pay down this debt faster.

The position would ideally suit an experienced surgeon however new graduates are also welcome to apply. Applicants must be compassionate, have good communication skills, work well as part of a team and be enthusiastic with a sense of humour!

Please click here to see photos! photos

So why move to Orange? Orange is an easy 3 hours’ drive from Sydney and Canberra and offers a wonderful lifestyle. It gives you the best of both worlds: the country town vibe and great lifestyle (think green rolling hills, farmers markets, renowned cool climate wineries and pick your own orchards and berry farms in quaint historic villages) with all the perks of big city living (the new Orange Base Hospital which is the largest non-metropolitan health and trauma centre in the Southern Hemisphere, a new $25 million sports precinct, 16 schools inc private (Kinross Wolaroi and Orange Anglican School), Catholic (James Sheehan and St Mary’s) and good public schools, hatted restaurants, Charles Sturt University campus, 3 excellent 18 hole golf courses and a thriving real estate market. It is a renowned food, wine and tourist destination (in the Wotif 2023 awards for top 3 best towns to visit in NSW) and has an annual influx of approx. 400 tree changers per year who are largely professional people moving to the area chasing the lifestyle and the employment opportunities all within an easy commute to Sydney and Canberra. MILDURA, NORTH-WEST VIC - MIXED, SMALL ANIMAL ONLY WELCOME New Graduates welcome

Mildura Veterinary Hospital is a large, purpose-built practice within easy walking distance of the city centre in Mildura, VIC.

We are an independent, family-owned practice of 9 vets (8 FTE and 1 part-time) and are looking to expand our team – we would consider taking on up to FOUR new vets for the right applicants (three years ago we did just this – see our facebook page for details of the ‘fab four’).

We are a mostly small-animal practice, with the occasional large animal, and as such would be happy to take on EITHER a mixed animal veterinarian, OR a small animal only veterinarian.

Mildura is situated on the beautiful Murray River and is a 4 hour drive from Adelaide, and a 6 hour drive from Melbourne, and there are daily flights available also.

We are an AVA new graduate friendly practice, but all levels of experience welcome to apply, with salary negotiable (depending on experience).

The practice premises have recently undergone extensive renovations, with more to come in the immediate future. Currently we have 4 dedicated consulting rooms, a grooming room, a dedicated grieving/quiet room, separate dog and cat wards, separate large brand new isolation ward, a large separate sterile surgery with dual tables, separate radiology/ultrasound room, and large central treatment room with a wet table, and dual treatment/minor surgical tables.

We are very proud of our roster and working conditions which are very flexible. Most of our vets choose to work a 7 day per fortnight cycle (FTE – weekdays only, as we are closed on weekends) but this is negotiable and candidates are welcome to work shorter shifts Mon-Fri to make up FTE hours if this is preferable. Our emphasis is on an attractive and sustainable work life balance and for this reason, individual preferences and needs are always taken into account in all aspects of our practice. Time off is highly valued, and it is almost never a ‘no’ when a request for time away from the practice is made, whether this be for annual leave or other reasons.

We strive to provide a highly supportive environment for all staff – you will never be sole charge – one of the many benefits of being part of a large team. After hours is flexible and is shared evenly, and remuneration is excellent: up to 90% of professional fees are paid for work undertaken. Additionally, an RDO is accrued for every weekend covered on call. Support from one of the senior vets is always available, day or night. In addition, we use an external triage service for after hours calls which has reduced the number of calls by around 70%.

Our wonderful team of nurses are all either Certificate 4 qualified, or are currently enrolled in study. Our nurses are not just glorified cleaners, but rather play an active role in patient care and veterinary support – you can rely on them to monitor and report on your inpatients, ensure treatment schedules are carried out, take blood and urine samples and run diagnostics as requested, place IV catheters, set up for and assist with all procedures, and to provide continuous monitoring of your patients through surgery and into recovery, with dedicated one-on-one nurse-to-patient care ratio. Our two head nurses are not only cert 4 qualified but also each have their Diploma in general practice, and are currently undertaking further study.

Our aim is to to provide our patients and clients with the highest standards of veterinary care and attention achievable in general practice. We have a team oriented approach to our cases, and tackle a wide variety of medical and surgical challenges. We have a dedicated hospital nurse each day.

Referral is always offered to our clients for difficult cases, but being four hours from the nearest capital city means we have a unique opportunity to perform a variety of surgical procedures. We set a premium on pain management, preventative health care, and early behavioural modification, with puppy preschool courses run on site.

We have all the usual equipment found in general practice, including but not limited to;

Special interests are encouraged, and continued education is highly valued with generous course and conference expenses covered by the practice.

One of the current practice principals has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, and performs a reasonable amount of brachycephalic surgery including airway, skin fold, and screw tail surgery.

Dr Ian Japp, the previous practice principal, still works with us on a casual basis, coming in for orthopaedic surgeries as needed. An applicant with an interest in orthopaedics would, therefore, be supported and encouraged!

We are a supportive and social team and hold get togethers both inside and outside of work hours. We hold regular staff meetings, which are fully catered for by the practice.

Employment package includes:

We are happy to provide contact details of both our current, and past, veterinarians, upon request, so that you can find out for yourself what it is like to work at MVH.

For any questions, or to chat about the position please contact Dr Katherine Overs on 0423 467 331, or email katherineovers@gmail.com

So how can we do that for you?

Please click here to see photos! photos

This testimonial from one of our vets should convince you that this is the place for you!
I started as a new graduate in 2017 and am only leaving to try my hand overseas!  I was never pushed into doing anything I wasn't ready to do and could go at my own pace. The practice owner is super supportive and will still answer my calls even now to provide advice and assistance.
BTW it is an awesome team!!  All the nurses are very capable, and they make the job so easy so you can get on with being a vet.
The caseload is varied and interesting.  Because of the location, you get to “have a go”, rather than just referring everything …..so skills develop much quicker.
Orange is an amazing town.   There is always something happening!
(Dr Lauren Slater)

If you would like to talk to one of our previous or current vets, then please phone us on 02 63626991 and we can provide names and numbers.  If you would like to chat confidentially after hours, then phone Lisa on 0428658618 or send us an email to canobolasvets@hotmail.com  Alternatively, feel free to drop in for a coffee anytime and meet the team and check out the place.  Thanks.

About The Area

The Central Coast of NSW is a rapidly growing area.  Green Point is located at the southern end of the Central Coast (Gosford area) and provides an enviable lifestyle being surrounded by nature with beaches, waterways and National Parks.  It offers a lifestyle which is more relaxed and affordable than Sydney but Sydney is within an easy commute (approx. 35 minutes by car or there are regular train services) and Newcastle is just over an hour away.  I moved to the Central Coast for my first job after graduation and love the area – its only downfall, finding a café for a coffee after about 1600 in the afternoon.

ALBURY, NSW/VIC BORDER - NEW EMERGENCY SERVICE New Position

Albury Animal Hospital – Emergency & Urgent Care (EUC)
After-Hours and emergency veterinarian.

About Us
Albury Animal Hospital is planning to open the only emergency and after hours hospital in the Albury/Wodonga and surrounds area.  Our vision is to have an emergency program available for Veterinarians to develop their ECC skill set and provide excellent patient care standards, within a supportive and growing team and business.

We are aiming to start this service in July 2024.

We currently have a well-established GP hospital that has been providing Veterinary services to the community for 5 years.   Our local area has been without a local emergency centre/after-hours care since 2021 and we want to step up and establish this side of the veterinary services within our community.  Our hospital believes bringing these veterinary services to our area will increase the patient care standards to a level deserving of a large regional city, whose population is more than 100,000 people and their pets.   We will be able to provide urgent and emergency care that is time critical, which currently has high risk for transportation mortality or poorer patient outcomes due to the delayed veterinary intervention.

Starting these services is an exciting time of growth for our hospital, and although this service is not established yet, it will be well received by the community and surrounding veterinary professionals alike.   Our hospital management is dedicated to providing an employee driven progression in the business, to support growth in this area.  We are currently investing in equipment and facilities to ensure our EUC team will have access to all the necessary tools to be able to complete their work efficiently, and effectively, ensuring patient care job satisfaction.

Please click here to see photos! photos

About the roles:

We are seeking multiple vets to start this service.  We are looking for an EUC Clinical Veterinary Manager, and emergency and urgent care Veterinarians.

Hours of work: Both roles will be shifts working between 5pm and 9am on Weekdays, which is our stage 1 implementation.  When we are ready for Stage 2 implementation you will be required to work shifts over a 24/7 period over weekends and public holidays as well.  Shift length is negotiable.

EUC Clinical Manager

The Veterinary Clinical manager will be very resourceful and an experienced emergency veterinarian, committed to building the after-hours services and standards of care as we progress through implementation and growth stages of the business.  This role requires oversight of the EUC veterinary team protocols, processes, training, and development and will be involved in team member retention.   You will be able to grow your team, whilst being the primary support and mentor on the floor, providing an empowering and inspiring culture for each team member to shine and operate at their professional best.
AAH management want to make the AAH EUC a desirable place for ECC veterinarians to come and establish their ECC training.  We will require you to work with AAH management to develop and implement a core skills training program for all AAH EUC veterinarians to undertake, so we are developing future ECC leaders within our hospital and cementing Albury Wodonga as a desirable career location for ECC veterinarians.    Be part of growing the foundations for a program that will be here for years to come!

Requirements:

Employment conditions:

Your renumeration will commence as a straight salary in the range above, with the expectation that you will be in the high end of this after 12 months – after demonstrating you are team fit, capable of the leadership requirements and have progressed the EUC team past implementation and grown the service.

Emergency and Urgent care Veterinarian

We are seeking dynamic and passionate Veterinarians for our Emergency and Urgent Care (EUC) team.  You may have ECC experience already OR you may be someone wanting to start a career in EUC.

CENTRAL WEST - MIXED VET, EXPERIENCED/NEW GRAD New Graduates welcome

forbes vet clinic logo

Mixed Practice Vet – New Grad or Experienced

We asked, listened and acted – enjoy the new & improved in-depth Forbes Vet Clinic ad!

What’s the workload?

We are a typical rural mixed practice with 60-70% smallies and 30-40% largies load. We encourage all our staff to become good all-round rural GP vets. If you have a particular species or subject you enjoy working with we can nurture you in that direction too. Our regular jobs for all our vets (including new grads) include:

Most of our patient’s needs we are able to fully service but if more complicated things are required we have the option of referral to Canberra (3hrs), Sydney (5hrs), Wagga (2.5hrs) and more experienced vets within 1.5hrs.

What’s the job like for a new grad?

We are new grad friendly! Prove it? We offer $68,500 starting salary and this is a broken into an hourly rate as well (please keep in mind this is reflective of our lower costs of living out here and in their first 2 years out our new grads have been able to secure first home deposits, brand new horse floats and utes!).

You lead the way with what you’re comfortable with:

These are all proven things that we can do – ask our current associates who started here as new grads!

How does the day roster work?

We work 4 x 9.5hr days with one week-day off a week. The current position would give you Wednesdays off but can be negotiated. Work 2 days, have a day off, work 2 days – how good!

The vet’s work day schedule:

The actual clinic opening hours are 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays (worked by the on call vet).

How does after hours work?

If you’re a new grad – you won’t be asked to do ANY after hours until you’ve a minimum of 3mths experience, unless you want to start sooner. Before doing on call, you are more than welcome to shadow one of the other vets to learn more skills.

Once you’re feeling comfortable with the new clinic settings our rota is 1 weeknight a week and 1 in 4 weekends. Public Holidays are rotated equal share each year so that means only 1 Christmas every 4 years and 1 Easter every 4 years etc.

You are paid 50% of every consult fee you charge, 50% of professional fees as well (surgery, x-rays, board, hospitalisation, large animal visits).

After you do a weekend on call you get the following Friday off as a paid RDO. This gives you 1 in 4 weekends as a long weekend to do as you please.

What are the clients like?

We have friendly clients reflective of our rural community. They understand that some things take time and that we don’t always have the answers immediately but they trust in our dedication to follow up all our cases. Rude, unpleasant clients are not welcome at our clinic and will be redirected when identified!

What are the support staff like?

Each day we have minimum 3 nursing staff on the floor, a dedicated receptionist and a practice manager. There is always at least 2 fully qualified nursing staff who are efficient at IV placement, blood draw & running, radiographs, administering medications (IV, IM, SC), owner communication, surgery admission, patient triage. What can’t they do might be a shorter list? These staff are working alongside 2-3 vets per day.

What’s the workplace like?

It is a proper team. We all have each other’s back and are willing to share information with each other and put our heads together to nut out cases. Nobody leaves at the end of the day feeling the weight on their shoulders of any particular case – we all share the load together. Although it can get stressful like all busy workplaces we get through it with good communication. The gifts of chocolate, biscuits, fruit and muffins from clients and the daily 10.30am coffee van visit to the door probably helps too!

Why is Forbes a good place to live?

Well it depends on who you talk to!

Vet Vanessa – loves the sport options: hockey, netball, touch footy, soccer, tennis, volley-squash are the ones that she participates in! There’s also rugby, AFL, water-skiing and squash.

Vet Amy – loves the equestrian events that are numerous all within a couple of hours drive of Forbes

Nurse Alesha – enjoying seeing the locals each day and building rapport in our community

The community in general is very friendly. The town has 3 primary schools, 2 high schools, a preschool, and numerous day care options. Major shops include 2 supermarkets (inc woollies), kmart hub, bunnings, spotlight, maccas, KFC, subway, dominoes (although the local pizza shop is way better!). Other highlights are the lake in town which everyone loves to walk/run/cycle the 5-10km circuit of; the Lachlan river that’s good for fishing, kayaking and swimming in; town pool; great food options at pubs, clubs, cafes, restaurants, bakeries.

PS

The boring stuff: we have all the bells & whistles you’d be looking for in a mixed practice including fixed & portable digital x-ray, smallies ultrasound, 2 x largies ultrasounds, iM3 dental equipment,  endoscope, IDEXX CBC & Biochem in-house, pulse ox, ECG machine, fluid pumps, blood pressure monitoring. We use the RX Works computer system with a computer in each consult room, 1 in x-rays & 1 in the back area.

SYDNEY SOUTH WEST - SMALL ANIMALS New Graduates welcome

Wollondilly Animal Hospital is independently owned and operated.

Located in Picton (2571) the clinic is less than an hour from Sydney CBD, thirty minutes from Wollongong’s beaches and thirty minutes from Bowral and the Southern Highlands.

Our recently refurbished and expanded hospital is bright, clean and spacious.

Our nurses are highly competent and trained to allow you to focus on our patient’s care and client’s needs.

We’re small enough to know many of our clients by name but large enough to see lots of interesting cases; and to support each other as needed.

Our appointments allow you plenty of time to work up cases and keep on top of your work.

Lunch breaks are mandatory and time is scheduled for case notes. Nurses will do your call backs.

The clinic closes at 6pm Monday-Friday, 12 noon Saturday. Vets are on their way home at 5pm during the week and 12 sharp on Saturday.

Dogs and cats only. No afterhours or Sunday work is required.

Ideally you will bring enough experience to work independently and a desire to learn new skills.

We are skilled and equipped to handle most cases in-house. Whilst visiting specialists complement our very experienced team, you won’t get stuck referring everything interesting to an affiliated specialist hospital.

We like people who are interested in their own growth; and we are happy to facilitate your continued development. If you have a year or two of experience and really want to expand your medical and surgical skills this is the place for you.

We use RxWorks and have a dedicated surgery suite, radiography room, large treatment area and laboratory. We also have a dedicated euthanasia room, great puppy preschool space, a well-stocked (coffee machine and dishwasher included!) lunch room, and more. Have a look at our website:

https://www.localvet.com.au/Wollondilly/TakeAHospitalTour.aspx

Salary is negotiable based on experience and ability but begins well above award and is regularly reviewed.

The ideal applicant will be experienced and fill a permanent, full-time position. However, hours are negotiable, part time work is available and new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

With a growing need for veterinary services in the area it’s time for more vets to join our team.

You are: A good communicator, looking forward to joining a happy team that enjoys coming to work.

We are: A fun team, with excellent clients, in lovely premises, and are an all-round great place to work!

CENTRAL WEST - FORBES - MIXED PRACTICE - MIXED & SMALL ANIMAL VACANCIES New Graduates welcome

Are you looking for a change in scenery? Is city life getting too busy? Do you want to raise a family in a friendly, opportunity-filled country town environment? Come and explore the relaxed and welcoming town of Forbes, NSW on the Lachlan River!

About us:

Lachlan Valley Vets is a true mixed practice looking to expand our veterinary team and fill the position of one of our vets who is retiring gallantly after 25+ years of owning and practicing at the clinic. We are looking to fill two positions for a mixed practice clinician and a small animal clinician. If you want the country lifestyle coupled with small or mixed animal veterinary work, Lachlan Valley Vets is for you.

This is a new graduate friendly practice, and we pride ourselves on mentoring new grads properly. Work life balance is important to our team and mental health is a priority.

We will cater to any interest as this is a genuine mixed practice. Services offered include equine reproduction, cattle, sheep and goat herd health, plus international export of livestock from 5 different facilities, as well as a broad array of small animal medicine and surgical cases, including but not limited to reptiles, birds and native wildlife. We are also involved in community desexing programs with the RSPCA.

We are continually updating our facilities and are well equipped with digital radiology, in-house blood machines, large and small animal ultrasounds, Reproscan®, equine endoscope and an equine power float. There is the opportunity to work up difficult medical and surgical cases in-house however we can refer to specialty hospitals in Wagga Wagga, Canberra and Sydney.

We have a purpose-built branch clinic in Grenfell, NSW which is open Tuesday each week.

We have incredible support staff with a wide variety of experience and skills. Our nurses are well trained, supportive and are capable of working in teams and independently.

We are a locally owned family business, so if you are looking for support and encouragement from the ground level where you will be working side-by-side with the owners, this job is for you. Our team is like a family, with your work/life balance and mental health a high priority. If you have a family, we understand (and also survive) the chaos that goes along with parenting and are flexible with school pickups and sick children. We want to keep vets in the industry and that means a work/life balance that is flexible and supportive.

We have a coffee van that religiously pulls up at the clinic weekday mornings. Don’t worry if you don’t have a chance to get a caffeine hit before you come to work because it will be delivered with a smile! We also like to try and engage in a communal lunch on Thursdays with an order from the local bakery or pub. This gives us the chance for all staff to catch up, debrief and socialise.

Our team values good communication, often working up cases together. This is helped by our office being laid out so all vets can discuss cases, look at radiographs and easily converse with each other.

About the position:

4 day working week with a dedicated day off. For special occasions it can be arranged to occur on a Friday for a long weekend.
On call load is light and will be shared as 1 in 3 or 1 in 4.
Veterinary products are charged at cost price (plus GST) for your pets. We understand that your pets are part of the family so we look after them as well.

Salary above award wage
+ super
+ on call fee
+ after hours fees (50% of professional fees)
+ continuing education allowance
+ veterinary products for personal pets

Reviews will occur at 3, 6 and 12 months so you can tell us how we are going and provide us with feedback so we can help with any areas of improvement.

About you:

We love our job and while some days can be overwhelming, coming to work should be overall an enjoyable experience. We want our new team members to feel comfortable and fit in well with our clinic family. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and friendly and happy to communicate.

We have two positions available at the moment. If you are happy to work with all species, that’s excellent, but we are also looking for a small animal vet so if you don’t like sheep, goats, cows and horses you can stay in the clinic with the smallies. If you don’t have confidence with livestock but would like to build up that confidence, this is the job for you.

About Forbes:

1.5 hours from Orange, 2.5 hours from Wagga Wagga, 3 hours from Canberra and 5 hours from Sydney. It is only a 30-minute drive to the local airport with flights to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and large regional airports going twice daily.

We have a rich sports community with thoroughbred and standardbred racing, rugby union, rugby league, netball, cricket, touch, swimming, ranch sorting amongst countless others. For the water skiing enthusiasts we have a ski dam locally as well other ski locations within an easy 2 hour drive, and there’s plenty of stocked dams and rivers for the keen fisherman within close surrounds. We also have a 24-hour Anytime Fitness gym.

Forbes also boasts very picturesque and well-utilised walking/running paths around Lake Forbes. The Lake is lit by 2.7km of solar lights and is the ideal location to take a relaxing stroll or bike ride or an after work run to sweat it out.

“Best place have ever worked…”
“Most amazing team…”
“This is paradise…”

Hi, I am Dr Andrew and I promise these are real quotations.

Are you a passionate and positive person? PERFECT!

No one wants to work where everyone is grumpy. Where there is no support. Where “teamwork” is a foreign word. These places do exist. They can scar you for life. Maybe you work for one. You don’t have to anymore! Don’t let your future career be ruined by crappy experiences. At Ulladulla Veterinary Hospital, teamwork is celebrated, we have each other’s backs and laughter is encouraged. A rare opportunity has come up- could this be your chance to join our team? We are an energetic mixed practice, though some of our vets prefer just to do smallies. Others thrive in the surrounding beauty on visits to green rolling hills right next to stunning beaches.

We also have time to focus on our patients, whilst not neglecting ourselves. Personal development and education are very strongly supported as they are just so important! You can see what all the fuss is about by watching our series, Bondi Vet - A Country Vet Practice.

Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you are empowered to manage cases with the collaboration and mentoring both to and from your colleagues and on-hand advice from our Specialist network, as even the most senior of Vets can learn new tricks!

Leadership doesn’t have to be all consuming, so you’ll design your roster with Jess that offers a balance to your work and personal needs. No late nights or excessive weekends, just a 4 or 5 day week and the odd weekend rotation.

You’ll also have an experienced Area Manager, Regional Clinical Director and state General Manager to help cover the management, clinical standards and financial elements of your role. That’s the great part about your clinic being in the Greencross network - you’re not in this alone!
(And yes, these three are just as quirky as your clinic team… maybe even slightly more so).

Qualifications

While we are a super fun crew, our standards of care are no joke to us, so to be considered for this role you must hold a Veterinary degree from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards’ Council (AVBC) and/or have completed NAVLE, AVE or alike examinations, and at all times be committed to delivering fear-free, compassionate and industry leading health care and advice to our patients and their loving families.

You made it to the end of the job ad - that in itself deserves a high five!

We don’t want this be the last we see of you, so if you haven’t already, APPLY NOW https://smrtr.io/j7tyv or send a quick email to Nicole.keating@gxltd.com.au to chat further.

We’re looking forward to shouting you a coffee and spilling the beans on all things Greencross Warners Bay with you.
(See what we did there? ‘spilling the beans’… there’s plenty more where that came from 😉)

SPRINGWOOD, LOWER BLUE MOUNTAINS - SMALL ANIMAL VET New Graduates welcome

Part Time Small Animal Vet

Are you a veterinary nerd? If so then join us!

We need a third like-minded vet to join some fellow dorks. We don’t want any superstars or unicorns so you’d need to be able to prove your geekiness by having at last some of the following characteristics:

About the position:

Our practice does a lot of WIRES avian work and although there is no requirement at all to see birds (or any species you aren’t comfortable with), this wouldn’t be a good fit if you are terrified being around feathery creatures.

We have a team of 6 nurses, more than half of which have over a decade of experience. Our practice is in a heritage listed building so definitely doesn’t have a modern vibe, however it has recently been renovated so it is practical and revitalised while still hanging on to all its’ century old charm. We are located in the Lower Blue Mountains, just off the Great Western Highway or easy walking distance from a train station if you want a car-free commute.
