About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced nurse to implement their high standards of patient care. We would love someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and is happy to support our trainee staff.
This is a hands-on nursing role, you will need to have the skill set and confidence to place IV catheters, set up fluids, monitor anesthetics using multiparameter monitoring and love all things nursing.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree is essential
- 2+ years' experience with well-rounded nursing skills and specifically surgical nursing skills
- Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
- Ability to be part of our on call nursing roster

Full-Time Senior Surgical Nurse
We are looking for a Senior Nurse to join our Team. This role has become available due to one of our amazing, longstanding nurses embarking on a new adventure.
Our friendly and experienced Team seeks an enthusiastic, productive, and great team player to provide the highest quality of care and veterinary standards to our valued clients and patients. While this position is full-time, we may be able to accommodate part-time hours for the right candidate.
Bulimba is a busy, high-end clinic with, on average four full-time vets per day and seven nurses plus a kennel hand.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV qualification (or equivalent) as a veterinary nurse or veterinary technician (Bachelor of Veterinary Technology)
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in clinic post-qualification
You should demonstrate initiative, have a keen eye for detail, and be efficient and highly organised with excellent time management skills. Strong client communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with RxWorks
- Experience in mentoring and teaching Certificate II and IV Veterinary Nursing student.
