SUNSHINE COAST - SMALL ANIMALS

Want a job that supports you in a way that your career flourishes?

Hey, I'm Dr Sian and together with my amazing team we operate All Animal Veterinary Services.

We all know that Vets are in high demand and are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a job.

That's a bit different to when we first graduated!

And whilst that's different…

What has stayed the same is the challenge of trying to decide who to trust to support you in your career and find a clinic that is the right fit for you!

Being a vet is a fantastic and rewarding career…

One in which you have worked very hard to be a part of.

When we started our clinic we were very clear that when the time came to take on board associate Vets that they would be supported, valued and encouraged to thrive in their career and that we would provide a culture that allows them to do so.

If that is what you are looking for then All Animal Veterinary Services is the clinic for you!

And we are on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland!!

Please click here to see photos! photos

But you should ignore all that and instead listen to what Dr Bri has said about her experience…

"All Animal Vets has been a wonderful clinic to work at. I started about three years ago as a recent graduate and have been provided lots of support from the senior vets, plenty of chances for learning and development as well as encouragement of continued professional development opportunities.

It is a busy, at times fast-paced clinic, with lots of exposure to interesting and varied cases and surgeries. We have such an enjoyable, positive clinic culture, we're always up for a laugh while getting in and working together to get the job done!"

If this sounds like the kind of clinic you might like to start or further your career then I'd love to hear from you!

All you need is a keen attitude to learn and a good sense of humour…
(And a Vet degree... you will need one of those!)

And we will help you with the rest.

If you'd like to learn more flick me a text or give me a call on 0415 569 683.

KENMORE/SUNNYBANK, BRISBANE WEST & SOUTH - SMALL ANIMAL New Graduates welcome

Veterinarian required
Full time Small Animal
Brisbane QLD (Kenmore, Sunnybank)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic full-time veterinarian to join our growing team.

About us:
We’re a busy and innovative small animal practice based in Brisbane QLD. We’ve integrated a large house call service with well-equipped clinics to create a referral style environment in a general practice setting. Our house call teams ‘refer’ patients from across Brisbane into our clinics each day, providing us with an interesting caseload of surgical and medical cases. This higher caseload of unwell pets allows us to make better use of our clinic equipment with ultrasounds, x-rays, bloods and surgeries a daily part of our practice. We have a strong focus on challenging ourselves to work up cases to a referral practice standard and continuing to develop our clinical skills. As we grow, we envisage our vets being able to work exclusively within a specific chosen field (if they wish), such as internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, dentistry or diagnostic imaging. We also have opportunities for vets looking for a consulting only role.

Our clinics are currently based in Kenmore and Sunnybank, with a northside clinic opening in the near future.

Please click here to see photos! photos

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for vets keen to challenge themselves clinically and practice referral level patient care. Experience level is not a sticking point for us – we’re confident that we can help you grow clinically. It’s more important to us to find someone personable and fun who’s going to fit into our team. With a new graduate already currently being mentored, ideally our new team member would have at least 1 year of experience in practice (general practice, internship, emergency).

Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues are naturally important to us. A commitment to continuing professional development and education is also essential.

About the role:
This position is a full time role (4 days per week) with our day service (no after hours). We encourage our vets to work a mixture of house call and clinic shifts as this provides a good balance between consulting and procedural work. However, we also believe in playing to each person’s strengths so are happy for the role to be exclusively in one department if needed.

You will be well supported with continuing education – we encourage all staff to participate in conferences/courses each year, host monthly vet rounds, and have practice memberships to Vet Education and VIN. Generous CPD allowance and leave are provided.

Remuneration will be dependent on the applicants experience level and qualifications. We are always very open to negotiation of remuneration packages, including salary, leave allowances and superannuation.

Please submit applications via email to ben@thcv.com.au or call 0438 786 205 for a confidential discussion.

What We Need

What is the down side?

Who We Are

Here’s what a vet who recently joined the team has to say:

“I joined the Park Ridge Animal Hospital team in mid-2020. PRAH was highly recommended by multiple people - both general practice and specialists prior to me joining. The team was very welcoming and is extremely supportive. You have the ability to work up both surgical and medical cases to a high degree and most importantly you have dedicated time in the day to do this (instead of needing to do them between consults etc). They value your mental health and this is evident in multiple ways. Continuing education and progression is at the forefront of conversations as well, and they’re keen to see you excel in the veterinary profession. The nursing and support staff are trustworthy and skilled, which helps you to be able to focus on managing your case load. The rosters are done a couple months in advance, so this helps to have a positive work life balance. If you’re looking for a supportive team, interesting cases, thoughtful management and a workplace you look forward to coming into each day, then Park Ridge Animal Hospital is the veterinary hospital for you.”

HOW TO APPLY:

Please address your application to Tania Wyndham and email a cover letter and resume to tania@parkridgevet.com.au or feel free to contact Dr Nigel Thomas on 0402 044 430 or Dr Sasha Savage on 0418 870 930 if you would like more information.

Dr. David Watkins: A Journey to Leadership
"After graduating, it seemed all so clear to me. It had been the end of a long journey, one with many sacrifices to firstly get into vet school and then graduate. Finally, I was done, and I could get to work doing what I had started it all for. My first job was an exciting, fast-paced practice with a varied caseload that quickly taught me that there was still so much to learn about myself, my clients, and the animals I was entrusted care of. Luckily, I had the support I needed, and even in the rare cases of something going wrong, I always knew everyone on the team had my back. When I reflected on what we had achieved as a team and all the lives we had changed for the better, both animal and human, I would remember why it was that I was here to begin with, why I had told every adult who had asked me as a child what I was going to do when I grew up. I want to help, and in doing so, that gives my life meaning, and it gives my life purpose.

So, this is why I decided to step into leadership. I wanted to take what I had learned, elevate it and provide that support, care and development for others. From the start, as a team, we have challenged the status quo. We are brave enough to do what we say we do. Being the owner of Goodna Vet Surgery, I am lucky enough to help the clients and animals that we see and form bonds with, as well as be part of a team of wonderful individuals just like me when I first started. We are the change we want to see as animal health care professionals.

Every day I change lives and make an impact. That is my why."

Your Opportunity to Shine
We are on the hunt for a compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian who thrives on making a difference in the small animal sector. At Goodna Vet, your role goes beyond the job – it's about improving the lives of every pet and owner you meet. Our commitment is to enhance the veterinary industry by supporting our team in delivering exceptional care.

Your Role: A Blend of Passion and Expertise
As part of our Veterinary team, you'll engage in meaningful conversations with pet owners, offering tailored solutions for their pets' health and wellbeing. Working a 4-day week with a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rotation, your knowledge and friendly demeanour will make a lasting impact on our community.

We Invest in You
Goodna Veterinary Surgery is deeply committed to your professional and personal growth. From a comprehensive induction with our Clinical Director to continuous learning opportunities and mentorship, we're here to support your journey every step of the way.

About You:
Compassionate and Client-Focused: Your empathy and dedication to helping pets shine through in every interaction.
Resilient and Growth-Oriented: You view challenges as opportunities for learning and growth.
Team Player: Punctuality and reliability are your strong suits, and you’re always ready to support your teammates.
Lifelong Learner: Quick to adapt and eager to grow within a dynamic environment.
Excellent Communicator: Your verbal and written communication skills set you apart.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating multiple IT platforms to enhance patient care.

Why Goodna Vet?
Our vision to transform the veterinary industry into a more compassionate and service-oriented field drives us. We value our team members and strive to provide a comprehensive range of services that cater to the health and wellbeing of pets at all life stages.

ORMEAU, NORTHERN GOLD COAST - SMALL ANIMAL New Graduates welcome

You’ve probably read all the ads out there and they all look the same, they all offer an amazing workplace, a great team, a good salary package, flexibility etc. How do you choose or believe what everyone says? We all say the same thing, employers will always try to convince you and the wording is very vague, right?

What is the real meaning of good, great, flexible? That’s very subjective and the scientist in us wants numbers, facts, evidence-based arguments!!

My Kind of Vet, situated in Ormeau is seeking a skilled and compassionate part time vet to join its Award Winning team on the beautiful Northern Gold Coast. As a veterinarian, you will play a crucial role in providing high quality veterinary care to our clients’ beloved pets.

Let me try to give you some of that and you can interpret the results as the great clinician you are:

If you are still in doubt, you can check out why we were awarded the Best Led Veterinary Practice in Australasia in 2023. No, we didn’t pay a cent to win this award, the award is based on an anonymous survey where our team members evaluate our leadership team. Here’s a link to our story: https://www.vetpracticemag.com.au/frontrunner-dr-anna-abdalas-my-kind-of-vet-clinic/

Ok now you want to know what we offer, because you have bills to pay, we know what that feels like!

This is how we present ourselves to the public:

Still unsure? Why not get to know more about our amazing workplace, come and meet us at Unit 8, 29 Blanck Street, Ormeau, unannounced, pretend you want to book an appt and you will know the real us! If you can’t come in person, just write us an email and we’ll walk you through it!

Please click here to see photos! photos

Interested? Pop us an email with all of your deets to trish@mykindofvet.com.au  or call the clinic 07 5546 6756.

Oh, and did we mention we not only have an awesome clinic, we also have a full Mobile service, where you will get to see the patients in the comfort of their home. (and you get to take your lunch break overlooking the beach!!)

BRISBANE - DERMATOLOGY INTERNSHIP 2024 - 2025 New Graduates welcome

Dermatology for Animals – Internship programme 2024-25

Established in 1998, Dermatology for Animals provides the veterinary dermatology service within the majority of specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary hospitals in Queensland, as well as providing dermatology referral services to regional centres in Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales. We are now inviting applications for our 2024 intake, with one position available to start in February and another in August. Interns are appointed for an eighteen-month period and are based in south-east Queensland.

Our interns work alongside our specialists, registrars and residents with the aim of providing incumbents with an in-depth understanding of veterinary dermatological skin disease and treatment. Primary case responsibility is not a feature of these positions. The knowledge gained during an internship will be applicable to those seeking to pursue further studies in veterinary dermatology (eg – pursuing residency training with a view to specialisation), and also to those wishing to gain a solid grounding in a discipline that forms approximately 30% of all non-preventative general practice accessions.

Veterinary dermatology is unique amongst referral disciplines in fostering long-term relationships with clients and patients. It's less about fixing our patients and sending them on their way, and more about managing their issues so that they and their owners can live their best lives. It's also unique in that dermatology rarely presents with genuine emergencies, and this allows us all to have an enviable work-life balance.

WHAT WE OFFER

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

If you think you might be interested in veterinary dermatology as a career, or just wish to hone your skills in this important discipline, then an internship with Dermatology for Animals may be what you're looking for. If you would like to explore the opportunities further, please email your application, including a letter of intent and your current CV to:
