Bayside Animal Hospital first opened its doors in 2018 with just one vet and two nurses. Today, we have two ISFM-accredited hospitals in Sydney; one at Wolli Creek and one at Rhodes with a third hospital in the works to open by the end of the year!
Due to our rapid expansion, we are looking for a veterinary administrative assistant to assist our ever-growing team. We need someone that is enthusiastic about pet care and help make sure owners are given the best advice possible from the moment they walk in.
This role is suitable for someone with knowledge of the industry including those studying veterinary medicine, animal studies, vet nursing or someone returning to the field. Our client base is largely Chinese so patience and understanding are a must as we tend to cater to those with language barriers. Training will take place at our Rhodes hospital and depending on your preference, you can move to the new hospital or remain at Rhodes.
In this role you will be involved in:
- Meeting and greeting the clients
- Processing payments and insurance requests both manually and via GapOnly
- Handle a multi-line phone switch for our hospitals
- Book appointments and triage patients both over the phone and in person
- Assist in managing the email inboxes
- Assist the vets and nurses on a day-to-day basis
You will not be alone in your role! You will be assisted and trained by our experienced Vet Nurse and Administrative Supervisor as well as the Hospital Manager. In this role you will:
