RIVERSDALE, SOUTHLAND - MIXED New Position
Just the place you have been looking for:
Concerns regarding work-life balance, work variety, cost of living, support in the workplace and team culture are common amongst vets looking for a job.
Fortunately, we have the clinic and job that ticks all of these boxes and more!
We are a 12 vet practice working out of two clinics in Northern Southland, the gateway to Fiordland and the Central Lakes. We service a wide variety of species providing a mix of work that, we believe, is one of the best in the country. In any one day we can find ourselves on an iconic sheep station (think Glenaray or Mt Linton), a large deer or Standardbred horse stud, a progressive dairy farm or back in the clinic completing a TPLO surgery on a working dog. We work out of a new purpose-built clinic with all the toys including ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house blood machines and endoscopy. The clinics are spacious, with plenty of room to swing a cat, yet the biggest room is still the smoko room, because supporting a great team culture over a cup of tea, biscuit and/or a beer is something we believe in.
Please click here to see photos!
We live in a great community with a variety of clubs and sports teams, cheap housing and an outdoor utopia on our doorstep. We are less than 2 hours from an international airport and have a covered stadium nearby bringing in international acts on a regular basis.
If this sounds like you, count your lucky stars that an opportunity has arisen for a new member to join our existing team of vets. We are looking for a team player to join our Riversdale clinic where there is the opportunity to play a significant role within our equine or dairy team. The right candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience and be willing to get stuck into rural mixed practice. We look after our team and remuneration packages will reflect this, including health insurance, income protection and a saving scheme that goes above and beyond the normal Kiwisaver.
Sound too good to be true? Our 2015 & 2016 new grads that have made Riversdale home don’t think so... If you’ve heard enough and want a contract to sign, send us your CV to julia@nsvets.co.nz. If you would like to learn more check out our Facebook page or https://www.nsvets.co.nz/, alternatively give us a call on 03 202 5636.
