- Preparing and assisting with the implementation of animal care and use systems and services across the University as and when required.
- Providing veterinary clinical guidance on animal use protocols and supporting research staff and animal technicians.

Cambridge Equine Hospital is looking for a well-rounded equine veterinarian to join our existing team of 12 veterinarians (including Specialists in Equine Surgery and in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation). This position would be a 6-month term starting in January 2024 with the possibility of a permanent role for the right person. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of experience in general equine practice, with additional experience in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, and stud medicine being advantageous.
Cambridge Equine Hospital is situated in the heart of the Waikato and offers both first opinion and referral services. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mixed / Large Animal Veterinarian to join our well established, Best Practice Accredited, 7 day/week practice in Maunu. You must be motivated and enthusiastic with a desire to develop dairy skills and be able to build great relationships with our farm clients and our team members. We will consider a new graduate with strong dairy interests.
This is a full time position offering a varied and interesting case load, with approximately 1:4 afterhours roster (PA only) with days off after a weekend worked. The practice is well equipped including digital x-ray, IDDEX and scanners. We value CPD and will support attendance at CPD that is relevant to the needs of the practice.
The position involves predominantly dairy, with some beef, lifestyle, alpaca and basic equine work
