The Ark Veterinary Hospital Lindfield, Upper North Shore, Sydney (posted 28th June)
Independent Family-Owned Practice – looking for a Full Time Qualified Nurse Position
Why work for us?
You will see many job ads that describe their culture and try to convince you to join their team.
Instead, in our last staff meeting we asked the team, and this is exactly what they said:
“When faced with so many opportunities for negativity in our industry, what makes Ark Vet different is that our team focuses on remaining positive. We work hard; not just out of necessity, but because we all have such a passion for what we do. We see this reflected in our commitment to our patients and how we ensure every client has the best possible customer experience.”
- We aren’t perfect – sometimes we have challenging days and challenging clients
- While some see a small team as a drawback – we look at our team and know everything we do has a direct impact on the pets and clients in our community
- What we do have is grit and passion
Ark Vet Hospital is a long established, independent vet practice that offers premium standards of care to a dedicated client base. Our small but dynamic team thrives on going above and beyond to keep pets healthy and owners educated and happy. Our clients come to us to receive the personalised care and attention that our smaller size provides.
As a nurse on our team, you get to see and do it all (within legal guidelines of course). We have a wide variety of cases that allows us to use all the ‘toys’ our well-equipped hospital has.
Qualities you have:
- Hold teamwork in the highest regard
- Clinical competence in assisting with complex medical and surgical cases
- Enjoy building rapport and getting to know our regular clients
- Be keen to share your enthusiasm and skills
- Cert IV qualifications with at least 1 yr. work experience
The day-to-day of the role:

- Roster consists of a 4 day week with rotating Saturdays 8am-3pm (typically one a month)
- Above award pay
- Continued education and support to develop your nursing skills
- Convenient location next to Lindfield train station
Don’t hesitate to also give our hospital a ring and speak to any of the staff and ask them what they think. To get you started, some of our newest recruits shared their thoughts about joining our team:
“From the first day I walked in the door as a newbie to the industry, the Ark team has made me feel welcome, valued and encouraged. Every day presents an opportunity to further our skills, put what we know into practice and deliver the best possible care for our clients and patients.” – Vet Nurse Steph
“It's been a pleasure to work at the Ark Vet Hospital. Each person has a strong work ethic and incredible sense of comradery. We also have wonderful clients that come from far and wide, which is a testament to the team and the service we provide.” – Vet Nurse Ray
