Medivet Peterborough Welland Road is a spacious, well-equipped practice featuring three consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, a dedicated imaging suite, generous staff facilities on the upper floor, and a large outdoor area. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated vet to make their mark, shaping the direction of the practice and playing a key role in its next phase of growth and development.

What We Can Offer You:

A salary of £45,000-70,000 depending on your experience and skill set

£1,000k CPD budget with flexibility for CPD that's brilliant but more costly (for example, we previously paid for in-house training and now Nadine is a fantastic ultrasonographer)
The loveliest supportive team you could wish for and a boss who is fully clinical and leads by example. You won't be working whilst she drinks tea; she'll be working right alongside you and supporting you in every way she can. Besides she hates tea.

It makes being a vet easy as they already trust us to do our best for both them and their pets.
What We Are Looking For:
A veterinary surgeon eligible to work in the UK with a great enthusiasm for all things veterinary.
The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Confident with consultations and good surgical skills. The minimum surgical competency is to perform bitch spays solo.
Either three or four days per week with a fixed week day off plus 1:4 Saturday mornings.

Having accommodation ready and waiting for my arrival was a huge bonus but having April and Verity waiting at the train station to pick me up and deliver me to my new home was just incredible.
I have made some of my closest friends among my workmates and had some awesome travelling in-between shifts. I've visited more of the UK than most of the people at work! Although I still get great recommendations on their favourite places to go.
Everyone is so supportive, I constantly bother April and Nadine about my cases and am thrilled when they approach me to discuss theirs. It's really a team approach to medicine, the nurses are incredible and always happy to help handle anything you can throw at them.
While vetting in the UK is definitely different in some ways to Aus, the people and the patients we help are just as rewarding, and hey you might end up treating a hedgehog on your first shift like me!”
Our Location:
We are in the South East of England, with excellent transport links. Stansted Airport is one hour away by car and Central London takes 1.5 hours by train.
Our practice is within a village called Weeley and the accommodation is a 10 minute drive away in seaside town Clacton-On-Sea. From the flat you can see the sea and to reach the beach you literally cross the road. Sarah chose to buy a car soon after arriving, however you can also get around by train or bus with stations/stops near both the accommodation and the practice.
