Our vets have advanced training and/or special interest areas in dairy medicine and bull fertility, small animal medicine and surgery (even rabbits!) and we have accredited advisors for many of the Dairy Australia programs.

We not only have a great working environment, with a 9-day fortnight, there’s plenty of spare time to enjoy the region.

Previously, our new grad joined the local footy and netball competitions, the local Surf Lifesaving Club, competed in numerous 1/2 marathons, climbed all the local mountains and practiced yoga on stand-up paddle boards, and has eaten at all the local restaurants and our two local distillery and breweries!!  There’s also fishing, world class mountain bike trails & golf courses, more sporting clubs and the beautiful Bridport beaches are just a 15-minute drive away.

“I came to Scottsdale Vets as a new grad in 2018. I have had the most support one could hope for, a great team of vets to work with and bounce ideas off and who will help you no matter what the hour is. We now have teletriage for after-hours which is amazing, you don’t have to talk to clients – definitely a game changer! I have been supported in furthering my skills in orthopedics, bull testing, equine dentistry and everything in between. We have both the perks of being part of a corporate where you have a specialist in every field only a phone call away, however, are also lucky that it is still a family orientated vibe at our clinic, and work isn’t always the first priority. I could not recommend this position enough, I am heading off to get some travelling out of my system but hope to end back here in the near future!” (Maddy Reid)
