Chandlers Hill Vet is a well-established small animal practice with a strong reputation in the local community. Our recently renovated and extended clinic offers a modern, spacious environment featuring three consultation rooms, a separate cat waiting area, and dedicated dog and cat wards.

Our facilities include:
- A dedicated imaging room, sterile surgery, and non-sterile treatment area

- An in-house laboratory with Idexx blood and urine analyzers
- Digital dental radiography (Sopro), general digital x-ray, and ultrasound equipment We also regularly collaborate with The Austin, our mobile ultrasound specialist.
Our Team:
You’ll be joining a supportive team of five veterinarians (three-four vets working daily) and a skilled group of veterinary nurses. Our nurses actively assist in consults—supporting treatment recommendations, animal handling, record keeping, and billing—allowing our vets to focus more on clinical care.
The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a part-time veterinarian (approximately 30 hours per week) to join our team. Love surgery? We love to play to our teams’ strengths. Prefer consulting only? That’s absolutely fine—we’re flexible!

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented veterinarian with a strong drive to deliver the highest standards of clinical service and care, and who has proven experience in small animal veterinary care and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
(HEO7) $64.33 to $71.94 per hour plus an employer contribution of 11.5% superannuation applies. In addition, loadings between 15% and 40% apply when working outside the normal span of hours in accordance with the University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement.
The Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital’s (RVH) is located on the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, surrounded by great lifestyle opportunities including the Barossa Valley, beaches, sporting activities, benchmark schools and shopping facilities.

The caseload is varied, and the team works through a 24/7 roster to provide emergency and critical care services for a dynamic and growing caseload of small animal patients. There is also access to all imaging modalities including CT and the support of a dedicated radiographer. The CAHC has access to an onsite veterinary diagnostic laboratory enabling direct contact with pathologists for case discussion and best outcomes for patients. As part of the ECC team you will enjoy strong support from a lively group of experienced academic specialists with challenging cases and an opportunity for case discussion daily with input from all staff.
The RVH provides a clinical training environment for final year veterinary students working under the close supervision of experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff. You will have the opportunity to involve highly motivated final year veterinary students in clinical case management and by providing students with additional learning opportunities where appropriate, and demonstrating the highest standard of clinical and professional behaviour. You will be making an important contribution to the clinical education of the next generation of veterinarians.

Reporting to the Senior Veterinarian & Livestock Manager, this position is for a permanent full-time veterinarian to join our team, where we manage the health and welfare of the Company’s sheep flocks and working dogs. This role is open to recent graduates and experienced veterinarians alike, competitive salary commensurate with experience. The Emergency Vet Position:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and team-oriented Emergency Vet to join our 24hr Emergency team in Adelaide in a casual capacity. You will work in a multidisciplinary setting alongside colleagues in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Dermatology and Neurology, while receiving direct support and in-house training from our Emergency and Critical Care Specialists Dr Nicole Kalnins and Dr Morgan Woodforde. There will be opportunities to collaborate with departments across the extensive network of SASH in NSW.
Emergency surgeries will be part of this role. However, our experienced surgeons are on call 24 hours a day to support you, so you will never be asked to cut something you are not comfortable with! Our surgeons will also provide you with support, supervision and additional training in key emergency surgical procedures while you settle into the team. As we offer 24-hour care, shifts rotate between days, overnights and weekends. Public holidays and weekends are shared equally on a rotating basis.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Veterinary Degree registrable in South Australia
- A minimum of 2 years, full time experience as a Veterinarian
- The ability to multitask and handle a high volume of cases
- A commitment to providing the highest level of patient care
- Previous experience in Emergency is desirable but not essential!

What would you do if you knocked off work at 5.30pm? The options might include heading out for a fish or going for a walk in the National Park that is right at your doorstep.
That’s right— the clinic is open between civilised hours, 8am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12pm on Saturday. Yes, we do provide an afterhours service, but with the right quota of vets that would be only one weekend in 4 or 5. As afterhours can be stressful on your own, we have a nurse also rostered on call, so you never have to worry about who is going to help. By the way, the after-hours compensation is among the most generous you'll find, which definitely helps make the extra hours more manageable.
As you may have guessed we are talking about a rural coastal area, that includes some of the best facilities around, one of which is an airport that is serviced by both Qantas and Rex.

About the role:
As part of the Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital team, no two days are the same. You will collaborate with experienced specialists while applying your expertise in emergency medicine, critical care, and anaesthesia. Salary & Benefits
- Pay range: $128,000–$179,000/year based on experience and skillset

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Provide high-quality emergency and critical care across a wide range of cases
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners, especially in emotionally charged situations
- Collaborate with your team and contribute to clinical and operational decision-making
- Mentor junior staff and students when appropriate
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow evidence-based practices

Veterinarian – RSPCA NSW Broken Hill
Our RSPCA NSW Broken Hill Veterinary Hospital is looking for a veterinarian to join our hospital team. Reporting to the Managing Veterinarian, you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of animal care and customer service is provided to our wonderful owners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian to experience the Aussie outback in the beautiful heritage listed town of Broken Hill, NSW.

About the Role
- This is a full-time position, but applicants who are looking for a part-time position will also be considered.

- Provide advice and guidance on a wide range of animal welfare matters to members of the public

About you
- Tertiary qualifications as Veterinary Surgeon, recognised by the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council
- Registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a strong passion for upholding good animal welfare
- Have a real affinity for adventure and a hunger for experiencing the outback!
