PORT LINCOLN, EYRE PENINSULA - SMALL ANIMAL Sponsor New Position

Join our Veterinary team in the stunning coastal area at Port Lincoln, South Australia! Full-time or Part-time position available.

Why would you want to work in a busy city practice when you can work in a relaxed regional environment, where it only takes you five minutes to get to work?

Imagine working in a rural area where you don’t have to do any large animals and you can just focus on providing a high level of service to the local pets from a very well-equipped clinic.

About us:

Lincoln Veterinary Centre in South Australia are currently seeking a Veterinarian who is highly motivated and looking for an exciting diverse clinical environment.

The clinic is located in Ravendale House, a heritage listed building originally built to house Her Majesty Queen Victoria’s Colonial Officers. Externally the building is stunning and original, but inside there has been extensive renovations, including an extension, to accommodate a modern architecturally design vet clinic.

Within the practice there is a highly skilled and dedicated team passionate about educating our clients to ensure an exemplary standard of health and well-being for their pets.

The clinic has an interesting case load, and because we are a 7-hour drive to a referral practice many cases will stay in house.

To add interest and a service to the surrounding regional areas we conduct remote clinics, the furthest being 4 hours’ drive away.

The role:

What would you do if you knocked off work at 5.30pm? The options might include heading out for a fish or going for a walk in the National Park that is right at your doorstep.

That’s right— the clinic is open between civilised hours, 8am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12pm on Saturday. Yes, we do provide an afterhours service, but with the right quota of vets that would be only one weekend in 4 or 5. As afterhours can be stressful on your own, we have a nurse also rostered on call, so you never have to worry about who is going to help. By the way, the after-hours compensation is among the most generous you'll find, which definitely helps make the extra hours more manageable.

As you may have guessed we are talking about a rural coastal area, that includes some of the best facilities around, one of which is an airport that is serviced by both Qantas and Rex.

We would love to help you develop your career while still having enough down time to enjoy what life has to offer.

What we can offer:

What you can offer us:

Sounds great! How do I apply?

We are in the process of applying for ASAV Hospital Accreditation and ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic status.

We are recruiting additional team members who would like to join us in the new hospital - specifically a keen surgeon who would like to be mentored and trained by Warren Foreman (2020 ASAV Practitioner of the Year).

If you love working with cats – this is the place for you. Jenni Trewren will be leading the team of feline fanatics. We have big plans for the old police cells which will improve the care that we can provide for cats.

Sumo has requested that any new team members treat her as the queen that she is – she is actually in charge! Our two clinic cats, Sumo and her offsider Freckle, are very important members of our team.

There is no point in writing an essay (or a novel!) - if you would like to find out more, please email Jenni Trewren – leadership@magillvet.au

MALVERN, INNER SOUTH ADELAIDE - ECC

Brand New Hospital Opening early October 2025

Emergency Veterinarian
Positions Available – Full-Time, Part-Time, and Casual
Help Us Redefine Emergency Veterinary Medicine

We started Nexus Emergency Vet Hospital because we knew there had to be a better way. After years in ECC, we found ourselves frustrated by flawed systems; systems that remove pets from their families at the worst moments, surprise clients with unexpected bills, burn out brilliant vets, and stall careers for lack of support or opportunity. Too often, there wasn’t time to pursue clinical interests or grow into leadership. Too often, we heard: “This is just how it’s done.”

We created Nexus to fix what’s broken – to honour the human-animal bond, to support clinicians as people, and to prove that exceptional medicine and sustainability can go hand-in-hand. The only way to do that? Get a group of like-minded ER vets together and rebuild it from the ground up.

If this resonates with you and you’re ready to do things differently—we’d love to meet.

Why Nexus?

Working with the team at the RSPCA Broken Hill was an absolute pleasure! I worked here as a locum vet and was instantly made to feel like a part of the team.
