Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Best known to be a 'Zoo without Fences', wildlife encounters are a given. But if you need to make sure you find what you are looking for within a short timeframe, then it is best to tour with someone who knows exactly where to find them. Kangaroos, Sea lions, Koalas, Echidnas, Wallabies, Goannas, and marine mammals are plentiful, along with many species of birdlife. If you are after wildlife, then Kangaroo Island never disappoints.
