About our clinic:

North Harbour Vets is a non-corporate veterinary practice located on the North Shore of Auckland. We are dedicated to providing top-quality care for our patients at reasonable prices for all of our clients. Our practice has recently changed hands and we have a lot of exciting new developments underway !

Due to the increasing demand, we are currently recruiting for a full-time junior veterinary nurse working from Monday-Friday with shared Saturday duties. Usually a standard 6.5 hour day is worked with a set roster being shared with other staff. We are really looking for someone with a good keen attitude and good energy with the animals. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities will include anaesthetics, surgical care, hospital care, laboratory work, x-ray positioning, animal handling and clean up duties.

The ideal applicant will:

1. Hold a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
2. Be capable and happy to work alone but also enjoys being part of a team.
3. Be enthusiastic and motivated
4. Show excellent initiative
5. Have excellent customer service skills.
6. Show excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Vet Nurse and be very familiar with small animal work. Some exposure to large animal work wouldn’t hurt but not essential, as would a knowledge if Vision VPM. Long term temporary accommodation is available.

Manukau After Hours Veterinary Clinic is a fast-paced, exciting small animal practice. Our clinic was custom built 2 years ago and is a spacious, modern and well equipped work environment. Our team is comprised of experienced, passionate veterinary surgeons and nurses.

We are looking for someone to cover up to 3-4 early morning shifts on Monday - Saturday. You would be working from 4.30am to 8.30am, though these hours are flexible by up to half an hour either way. The pay is $25-28 an hour, commensurate with experience.

Our successful candidate must:
