We need an Experienced Mixed Practice NURSE who can do rural tech work. To join our team which is working towards excellence, committed to continued learning, and has a positive team culture.

The role is full-time 8 am to 4:45 pm MON - FRI 5 days a week.

A permanent position is available within our Cambridge clinic for a Veterinary nurse with 2+ years experience to join our busy but supportive team. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to parental leave, commencing May.

Additionally, an opportunity exists for a Head Nurse role, ideally a proficient team leader with 4+ years experience.

Working as a Vet Nurse in our Cambridge clinic, you will be responsible for providing high standards of care for your patients and clients. Your role will involve all aspects of vet nursing such as in-patient and out-patient care, nurse consults and assisting vets in all areas including surgery. There will be general clinic administrative tasks and the expectation for you to participate in rostered Saturday mornings.

We are looking for a Companion Animal Nurse to work in our companion animal hospital in the idyllic beachside town of Whangamata, Coromandel.

You will work alongside three other nurses, a dedicated receptionist and four vets, to provide the excellent standard of care we pride ourselves on.

We take care of our team and pay well above the industry average. All of our nurses are also paid above the NZVNA wage guidelines and complete their hours over a four-day workweek. This means you will have three days per week off, to enable a healthy work/life balance. A part-time role can also be structured if desired.

A recently completed extension to the clinic and our staff break/kitchen areas means you will be working in a modern, comfortable environment. We invest heavily in our facilities and equipment, and you will have everything you need to perform your role in a clinically fulfilling manner.

Whangamata is located within easy driving distance of Tauranga (1h15min), Hamilton (1h40min) and Auckland (2h). Our area is renowned for its beautiful Coromandel beaches, host of outdoor activities and busy café/food scene.

Ideally, you will have some nursing experience, though a new/recent graduate with the right attitude will also be considered. A recognised nursing qualification (for example, DVN) is a must, as we are working toward BestPractice accreditation.
