North Richmond is a town apprximately 67 kms from the centre of Sydney in the city of Hawkesbury. It is separated from Richmond by the Hawkesbury River.

The centre for far western Sydney is Penrith, located within an hour's drive from Sydney, only half hour's drive from North Richmond, and located at the foot of the Blue Mountains.
