We are looking for a locum for a 4 month contract for maternity leave cover from approximately the 22nd November 2025 until the 22nd March 2026.

Also 1 week cover required for 22nd-26th of September (doesn't have to be the same vet)

We are located in Jurien Bay, Western Australia, a beautiful town on the Turquoise coast. We are a 2 vet family owned clinic with friendly clients and a great team. The locum would be taking on the role of the main surgical vet so would get plenty of interesting cases. No Orthopedics, just your routine soft tissue surgeries, desexing, dentals etc. We can provide a car and accommodation if required. It is a mixed practice but experience in this field is not essential as our other vet can do the large animal work.

Well equipped country clinic – in house blood machines, digital X-Ray, IM3 Dental Machine, In house Ultrasound, Equine Dental Equipment.

Jurien Bay is a great town with all the facilities you need plus lots of activities – a range of sporting clubs, places to eat and drink, hiking trails and islands just a short boat ride away.

Hours: 4 to 5 days a week 7.5 hour shifts (this is flexible) 30-37.5 hours per week
After Hours/On Call: Not required but available if interested in on call
Clinic opening hours: 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Sole charge: Limited sole charge unless other vet out on a large animal call or home visit (likely only a few hours per week) or if other vet on leave.
Pay rate: $75-90 per hour plus super
