Locum Small Animal Vet

East Maitland Vet Clinic is a 7 to 8 Vet small animal practice located in Maitland, a large country city located half an hour from Newcastle and beaches, half an hour from the vineyards and 2 hours from Sydney.

We are seeking a Locum small animal Veterinarian to help us out with some unplanned leave. At present we are looking for a Vet with an immediate start (July) for 2 to 4 weeks. New Graduates or Veterinarians are also encouraged to apply.

The position would suit an applicant who is interested in Medicine and Surgery. Special interests would also be encouraged.

The clinic was completely upgraded and extended last year. The practice is very well equipped, with digital radiology, endoscopy and ultrasound, full Idexx in house pathology, iM3 Dental and dental radiology, VIN access and orthopaedic equipment.

An enthusiastic professional with excellent communication skills will be supported by a very experienced team of like minded vets who want good outcomes for their patients.

We have excellent receptionists and nursing staff, some of whom we have worked with for thirty years. They are very experienced, capable and supportive.
