Siem Reap Veterinary Care is a busy, well-established small animal practice located in the heart of Siem Reap, close to the famous temples of Angkor Wat. We provide high-quality veterinary care to local pets, rescued animals, and community outreach cases. Our friendly, supportive staff and loyal clients make this a rewarding and unforgettable place to work.
What you can expect
You’ll be welcomed by our team, who are always ready to lend their support and share their knowledge.
This is a chance to make a real difference to animal welfare in Cambodia, rolling up your sleeves for hands-on work in a developing country where your skills will have a big impact. Along the way, you’ll gain invaluable experience with exotic diseases and expand your professional horizons in fascinating ways.
Outside the clinic, you’ll be immersed in the vibrant life of Siem Reap—wandering bustling markets, exploring ancient temples, and soaking up the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
About you
You’ll be an adaptable and dedicated veterinarian with at least two years' clinical experience and a steady confidence in handling routine consultations, surgery, and the occasional emergency.
Most importantly, you’ll come with a generous spirit, willing to share your time and skills.
This is a volunteer role, and while it’s unpaid, the rewards come in the form of unforgettable experiences and the knowledge that your work is making a real difference.
The details
We happily welcome volunteers year-round! We always need extra hands, whether you can stay for a week or a year. Right now we have a specific urgent need for the month of December 2025, to cover for one of our hard-working staff while they take leave.
