Paws At Yours, Mobile Practice, North-Eastern Melbourne Based (posted 21st July)
Do you need more time to listen to podcasts? Learn a language? Call your loved ones? Then mobile vet nursing might be for you!!
We are a small, one vet mobile practice based in north-eastern Melbourne. One of our wonderful nurses is moving back home across the ditch, so we are seeking a new team member.
Our practice is a little different from most. All consults are done in our clients’ homes, and we have a small surgical facility for routine procedures. There are no out of hours, no emergencies, no weekends or public holidays. We try really hard to allow flexibility for our staff. We want you to love your job, but also have a life outside of it!!!
We are looking for someone to cover at least 3 days a week, but 4-5 is possible also. Your day will involve patient transport for surgeries, nurse consults with clients, anaesthetic monitoring and maintaining the surgery, meds deliveries, and some practice management and administration. For those interested, administering laser therapy to clients is also available. If you have a special interest, we’d love to see if we can incorporate that also! You will need to be confident in all aspects of veterinary nursing, and happy working without supervision. A reliable car is also needed.
We are a close knit team, with wonderful clients. Our departing nurse had this to say:
“Working for Paws at Yours has given me the ability to fulfil my love for the industry whilst still enjoying a healthy work/life balance. Kim is a wonderful vet to work with, supportive, compassionate and genuinely invested in the work we do. The care we provide to pets and their owners is rewarding and the home visit aspect makes each day different. I have loved being part of this team”
If you are ready for a change, we would love to hear from you!

Berwick Vet Hospital, SE Melbourne (posted 8th July) Senior Vet Nurse
SENIOR VET NURSE WANTED – Join Team Leroy at Berwick Vet Hospital
(Warning: contains dark humour, industry puns and an urgent need to apply.)
Are you an experienced vet nurse who's just as comfortable placing a catheter in a tiny puppy, as you are trying to make friends with a spicy feline? Are you looking for a clinic where your hard-earned skills are respected and utilised, your coffee order will be memorised, and your inappropriate jokes are appreciated? Interested in working for a privately owned GP that is ASAV accredited, prides itself on practicing gold standard veterinary medicine and has a diverse and exciting array of cases come through the door? Want to be part of a nursing team that is a highly respected and cohesive unit with our veterinarians, where your input will always be valued? Then pull up a stool - we saved you a spot!
At Berwick Veterinary Hospital, we're not just a place to earn your dollarbucks - we're a team of passionate, down-to-earth animal lovers who genuinely like working together (most days, anyway!), and a place where you actually want to show up. We're growing our team, and we need a Senior Veterinary Nurse who can bring their knowledge, kindness, and calm-in-the-chaos energy to our crew.
What you'll be doing (besides eating chips and oversharing):
🐾 Leading by example with gold-standard nursing care
🐾 Mentoring junior nurses and helping them not freak out
🐾 Being the calm, steady hand in theatre, consults, and emergencies, to both our nurses and junior vets
🐾 Helping us laugh through the wild days and celebrate the wins
🐾 Bringing your A-game (and maybe some baked goods?)
What you'll get from us:
💚 A genuinely supportive team who has your back (or your front, depending on what's required…)
💚 A management team who actually listens to, and supports your ideas, concerns and ambitions (wild, we know!)
💚A wide range of cases that will constantly tickle your fancy (because let's be fair, a constant stream of desexings everyday can get a bit beige)
💚 Annual awards for excellence (and also downright stupidity). Never fear the latter is usually taken out by our boss each year
💚 A well-appointed, long standing clinic with a stellar reputation in the community, modern equipment with all the bells and whistles, and several staff who could be on The Great Australian Bake-off
💚 Real opportunities to grow, lead, and shape the nursing team and clinic culture, protocols and direction
💚 CPD encouraged and supported — always
💚 Flexible hours, family friendly considerations and a healthy respect for your work-life balance
💚 Wonderful and respectful clientele who are willing to go the extra mile for their fur babies
A bit about you:
✔️ Cert IV or equivalent
✔️ 5+ years experience (you've seen some things, and lived to tell the tale)
✔️ Confident in medical and surgical nursing (emergency and specialty nursing desirable)
✔️ Cool-headed, team-minded, and ready to lead
✔️ Excellent communication skills (bonus points if you can translate vet scribble)
✔️ You love a good team debrief and overshare, almost as much as you love vets who clean up after themselves
Where are we?
Berwick, VIC – a leafy, vibrant suburb with great coffee, better people, and easy access to Melbourne and The Dandenong Ranges. Work close to home in a clinic that values you and everything you bring to the table.
How to apply:

- Supporting in consults and handling patients
- Explaining treatment plans and follow-ups
- Helping manage bookings and workflow
