Nissen Street Vet Surgery is a successful, highly reputable, privately owned clinic on the lookout for a passionate and motivated Locum to work within our team!
About us:
Owned by Dr Candice Loft (Lead Vet), the team consists of 4 skilled and knowledgeable vets, 10 veterinary nurses/support staff and 3 receptionists, all with different specialties and levels of expertise.
We have a varied and interesting caseload, from soft tissue surgery (including BOAS), to canine reproduction, complex medical cases, and Orthopaedic procedures (travelling surgeon), providing variety and quality career care every shift!
Successful candidate qualities:
- Experienced vet confident in routine clinical practice and surgical procedures.
- Commitment to practicing quality medicine with a high standard of patient care
- Excellent communication with clients and staff, and willing to work within a skilled and supportive team
- Available to work a 4-day working week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (Sole Charge with support if required)
- BVSc or equivalent and able to obtain a QLD Veterinary Surgeon registration.
- Minimum 2 years' experience however all applicants encouraged to apply.
- Strong focus on maintaining a high standard through collaborative teamwork and building long term client relationships.

- $70 to $100/hr dependent on skills and experience
