Geraldine is a town in the Canterbury Region on the South Island of New Zealand. It is about 140 km south of Christchurch, and inland from Timaru, which is 35 km to the south.

Geraldine has a country village atmosphere, with majestic old forests, early settlers cottages and little arts and crafts corners.

Geraldine offers a wide range of activities which include walks, whitewater rafting, golf, fishing just to name a few.  Geraldine has many tourist attractions and travel activities with something to suit all ages, tastes and budgets.

Coffee culture flourishes in downtown and surrounding rural areas.  In the warmer months the village green buzzes with alfresco diners basking in the late sunsets; and in winter, with hearty fare in front of roaring fireplaces.

Along the historic Talbot Street - boutique and speciality stores offering exquisite hand-made chocolates, premier clothing, local wines, fine arts and local crafts including paintings, fabric works and jewellery.
