Traralgon is a city located in the Latrobe Valley in the Gippsland region, southern Victoria. Traralgon was settled in the early 1860’s and quickly established as a farming area with its high rainfall and fertile land. It is also home to most of Victoria’s power generation facilities.  It is now the largest and fastest growing city in the greater Latrobe Valley area.

South of Traralgon the Strzelecki Ranges offer a number of scenic tourist drive routes, including the Grand Ridge Road and the route to the Tarra Bulga National Park. North of Traralgon are extensive alpine ranges which include such attractions as the ski resort of Mount Baw Baw, a number of state and national parks, and the historic town of Walhalla.

Gippsland offers an abundance of lakes and waterways, history and heritage, walking  and hiking, road trips and opportunities to experience one of Australia’s best known food tourism destinations renowned for fine local produce.
