The city of Grafton is the commercial hub of the Clarence River Valley, located 630km from Sydney, and 340km south of Brisbane.

Established in 1855, Grafton features many historic buildings and tree-lined streets. One of Australia's most majestic waterways, the Clarence River is a dominant feature in Grafton's landscape and lifestyle.

Grafton is known as the Jacaranda city and has a Jacaranda festival each year in the Spring. Time your visit to take in Grafton’s iconic Jacaranda Festival held from the last weekend of October to the first weekend of November. It’s the country’s oldest floral festival, dating back to 1935. The city comes to a standstill for Jacaranda Thursday with a parade, markets, entertainment and more.
