Mount Barker is a town on Albany Highway and the administrative centre of the Shire of Plantagenet in the Great Southern region of Western Australia.
The small town is known as the gateway to the Porongurups. It is a quiet, pleasant town surrounded by gently rolling hills and with an unusual winding main street. There are a number of historic buildings in the town and the historic Police Station, built by convict labour, is of particular interest.
